If you want reasonable tax rates, come up to The Forge and look for an RvB-R or an RvB-B owned POCO, we have good rates for neutrals - 5% from us, and a recommendation to train Customs Code Expertise to V to knock the NPC tax down to 5% also, giving you a very favourable 10%
(When compared to the Interbus basic rate on the remaining Interbus Offices). Err... I'm seeing a base rate of 15% on RVB-R customs offices. If it was 5%, that would definitely be a level most wouldn't care about, and RVB-R could just sit back and collect the 5% for future FFA events. It isn't practical to wardec RVB-R either. RvB-R and RvB-B are probably the two alliances people won't mind paying to, compared to the alternatives.
There is a new skill that lowers the NPC tax rate from 10% to 5%. RvB has the tax rate set to 5% for Neutrals. So if you have 0 in that new skill (it is under Trade I think) your combined tax will be 15%. Anyone dedicated to PI should train it to 5, so you can have a 10% tax rate.
If you want to take some POCOs away from RvB, hire Noir. or any other Merc Corp. I hear they are cheap, and you'll make back your isk from the POCO tax in, NEVER. Once you have hired Mercs, please remember to email me, so I can send you a personal thank you note for creating content for us.

Fortunately if you work in any of the systems owned by the RvBee Customs Authority, you don't have to move! Our tax rates are already highly competitive for your convenience. Member of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal |

Highsec needs to be seen a flowchart or something or they can't lead A to B to C "Do not touch anything unnecessarily. All the COs I use have been turned into POCOs. I did a test to better understand the tax rate you see when doing a "get info" on the POCO. The value you see is the total tax, NPC + PC. In addition the effect of your skill is included.
For me the result is the planets I like to use will actually have a smaller tax than they did pre-expansion. |

You need to understand that the people who LIKE gate camping or station camping and wardec'ing industry corps DON'T CARE about PI in any way, shape, or form. They pewpew a few customs offices, think they're pissing people off, and feel good about themselves until the Cheetos bag runs dry. PI matters to people who use it to build stuff (like the guns and ammo the above like shooting), and those affected negatively will just move their operations. It really isn't a big deal.
I'm sure the RvBee thing (or whatever they're called) will turn out to be a metagame of it's own, but it would be nice to (finally) see a coalition of high sec industrials, missioners, and others band together to set up an alliance of sorts (not a real alliance, cuz that would be too juicy of a target) in a given constellation or two, and operate there on a cooperative system.
But the likelihood of that happening is about the same as the Goonies actually doing something right for once. "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |

RvBee is lowering the amount you pay for PI in high sec, while simultaneously creating both an income stream AND conflict opportunities. As this appears to be win-win-win for everyone involved, I'm still trying to wrap my head around anyone complaining about it.
(Now, people setting stupid high taxes, that's a valid complaint, of course.) "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. Because Goons. There is a subset of the playerbase who are more or less incapable of discerning "Other people who are playing a game in a manner that conflicts with the way I am playing" from "Great Satan".
Since Goons = Great Satan, anything they do is bad, and oppresses non-Goons.

The who would be players who were unhappy with said "stupid high taxes" and the how would be by declaring war and tearing down said POCOs. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
