hello first i'd like to say this is my third day in eve and ive currently made 22mil mining, that being said i want to make sure i am making the most isk from mining and my question is what is the best ore to mine atm if i plan to just sell the ore(have been doing alot of plag) starting to do omber but i read that mining the most expensive ore isnt always best for making isk that some take longer to mine than others now im very confused. |

There is no best ore to mine. Because regional markets are different and the economy changes every single second.
And people hate others that ask for hand holding. You can easily find it out yourself.
1. Look how much m3 you mine a cycle. 2. Look how long a cycle takes.
3. Calculate your m3 / hour rate.
4. Look up prices of ores. 5. Look up density of ores.
6. Calculate the ISK / m3.
7. Now calculate the ISK / hour and compare. Want to have some chat in game? Need help to get into the game as a new player? Just join my channel: Crazy Dutch Guy |

Omber is one of the lowest ISK/m3 ores. http://ore.cerlestes.de/index.html#site:ore |

If you're mining in HighSec, I'd recomend mining pyroxeres and scordite. They've been consistently two of the most valuable [HighSec ores] for a long time now.
Also, look for the 5% and 10% variants. They yield 5% and 10% more minerals per unit of ore, and usually fetch a higher price on the market (for the ore). Do not refine your ore until you have the proper skills or you'll be losing money via waste during refining. To refine with zero waste you need:
A station with 50% base refinery (listed in refining window/menu). Refining 5 Refinery Efficiency 4 [Ore Specific] Processing 2 6.67 or higher standings with the NPC corp that owns the station

I am OCD about clearing belts with my fleet.
I find it quite annoying when another fleet warps in and cherry-picks, then warps off to the next belt. I would NEVER do that. If there are barges in a belt, I'll find another belt.
I'll only stay in a belt with others if they can't possibly mine it all themselves. Example: If there is just a Venture on a rock, I'll let him have at it until he warps away. |
