rage torp are anti ship torps... but normal torps do more damge?...ccp plz make them better on how they ment to be!

I think they are to be used with painters or capital ships.

Precision torps - Versus Battleships / BC's.
Rage torps - Anti Capital Ship / Structure. Use on what theyre meant to be used for and you will notice it. Stop whining that you cant I-Win with the item that does the most damage... ---------------------------

the large T2 ammo for other races hits for atleast same dmg and then some as the old ammo.

They are usefull, though there're some pain getting there. What I would like to see is an increase on explosion velocity from 100m/s to 150m/s, so that with skills it dont have issues with BS base speeds. A small decrese in explosion radius from 1000m to 800m would also not make em to powerfull. You still gonna need to paint target a lot, and they still have their stacked cap recharge penalty.
Though I hope CCP figures out and rework most/all of the tech2 ammo and not only this one. Atleast that they state something about the tech2 ammo since no information has been given out.

actually, the new t2 ammo (long range at least for projectile) more than often misses against smaller targets, but yes it can hit for good damage.
you get the opposite, guarranteed hit, but sucky dmg, either way, meh :P

agree it evens out, they got constant dps we got "lucky" dps. missiles should be nerfed a bit more imo so it evens out even more

Are you sick, i got a mjolnir rage torp on my untanked shield and it did over 1200 damage... Try that with a T1 torp!

How much were you painted to have tanked 1200dmg?

Rage torps should do a little bit more damaage than regular torps on a bs even if he's not painted. So I agree with the original poster. I like the idea of the higher dmg against capitol ships, but you shouldn't have to carry around 3 painters just to make them as good as a regular torp against a battleship.

Wow, just wow.
Rage torps are 4tw.
A raven with them beats any other bs 1 on 1 period.
DPS with max skills exceeds 1200.

Max target painting skills you only need 3 target painters if I recall, haven't tested it myself but have been tested on. I dropped like a stationary shuttle to a gankageddon in a tanked raven. Fear the Ibis of doom. |
