What is so special about HAC? Why would someone want to fly a HAC? are they better than bship? Or people only choose them cuz they're bored of flying bship?
I'm a Caldari player and i would like to stick with my faction's ships. With all i learned on the flamming post on the raven i came to think that the raven are very good (if not the best) in pve and are very good too in 1v1 bship fight but in fleet (or small gangs) battles they're almost worthless.
PLEASE DON'T TURN THIS TOPIC IN ANOTHER WHINING TOPIC
My question is, if i want to be a PvP/PvE player should i start with a new faction or i can use other good caldari ships maybe an AF or HAC?
I just don't want to train all the 4 faction ships skill like many players seems to do. I'd prefer to take the fation that suits me best and stick with it so i could become specialized in one kind of weapons/tank instead of knowing a little bit of everything.

They're faster, more versatile versions of a BS. You have more firepower and toughness than a cruiser (sometimes even BS level), in the size and manuverbility of a cruiser.
The downside is 1) Price (omg) 2) Availability (long build queues, or high markups on "gotta have it now")
Its not bad to focus :) Caldari ships are good. They're as good as everyone elses ships, just each one has a certain feel.
Tier2 BSes aren't used much in PVP since they're very costly.

Ummmm, OK. Have you checked any killboards lately?

I don't know why but when i hear ½ Ferox + its like music in my hears and i like what it looks like and his attributes, and all...
Do you think its viable to focus on being a good battlecruiser pilot instead of a bship pilot?

Edited by: Brastagi on 25/02/2006 17:25:28 You can focus on battlecruiser pilot. The Tech 2 version which is command ship, pretty usefull in fleet. I don't know if they can par or above HAC in firepower and resistant.
Edit: plus Ferox get bonus shield resistant each level, ;). ---------

Field Command ships can outDamage and outTank a HAC (try comparing a Zealot and an Absolution). On the other hand, they are twice as expensive again, and take an obscene amount of additional training to make the best use of hte Leadership Mods. They will also be immediately called primary in almost every fleet engagement. This is why you don't see too many of them on the battlefield.

Comand ship hum..Sounds like a very long term goal. In the skill point aspect of course but also in fleet battle experience. Me a commander lol
