I finally got Eidetic Memory learned to level 1 last night. *yay*
But I noticed that the training time for the other learning skills (notably Analytical Mind IV - which is mem/int based) did not decrease when the skill was completed.
Am I missing something obvious? ----- Lucid but lost... |

The multiplier is a huge factor. A skill with only a multiplier of 1 will not have as drastic a reduction in learning time as a skill with a multiplier of 5.
By the way, train Eidectic Memory to 3, it only takes roughly 18 more hours.

It probably dropped you from like 4D 17H to 4D 7H or something subtle like that. I'd probably take the time to get it to 3 right away, that'll cut down on your other skills. -- Lil Miner |

I'm working on it... but there's no point setting a 2 hour training period overnight, or when I'm at work.
I actually wrote down the exact times, 'cos I was all excited about it... it didn't change... now the 'myeve character sheet' shows I've got 6 days to go, but my CMS - which has always been exactly match eve - says I should have 4d 21hrs... ----- Lucid but lost... |

First of all dont use CMS.
Secondly, make sure you check my character on this page to see the actuall time it takes to train stuff.
And also note that the advanced learning skills for int has the attributes int + mem instead of Mem + int like all the basic learning skills.
When in doubt CMS is allways wrong and Eve is allways right. . Seriously Have I Not Said How I Can Assist Some One You Are Killing Online? |

There are also known issues where when you finish a learning skill, EVE sometimes doesn't properly updated your displayed attributes and training times. Relogging usually solves this problem. Good news is it doesn't matter if this bug is present or not. The information is stored server-side, so the client will correct itself eventually. ---

Edited by: Understudy on 28/02/2006 09:48:14 Ok, all sorted... The myeve character page was wrong!
When I logged in last night, I changed the current training skill to a short duration one. When I went back to the long term skill for overnight, it had magically dropped by a day and a half..
I don't know if I lost any time yesterday, but it will only be an hour or less - nothing major.
edit - I use CMS when I'm at work... My laptop doesn't run the eve client... which is good, or I'd probably get sacked really quickly ----- Lucid but lost... |

Are you sure...
I looked in 'Show Info' last night, and it says mem+int.. Also the 'time to train' calculations I did match mem+int, not int+mem. ----- Lucid but lost... |
