Okay, my two week trial is up, my account is fully activated, and I'm having fun.
I've played around with my ships loadout, done a bit of trading, looked into manufacturing and spent many an hour running missions for various agents as well as taken a trip into one or two Complexes.. I've even been shot at a couple of times and managed to escape reasonably unharmed.
Excellent game, reasonably easy to get the hang of as well as having a huge range in ship loadout customization.
I was just wondering if there was anything else to do, other than mine, trade, agent missions or complex crawling.. (I'm not a big PvPer, so THATS kinda out).
So.. the question.. What do YOU spend your EveTime on ?

PvP :)
Try it, its fun. Even in a fully insured T1 frig (ie basically free if you lose it) you would be suprised what you can do.

i spent it on mining in 0.0 space (prefrebly not my own, its way more fun having hostiles in local) then with all the money i earn, i hunt players from other alliances

This'll sound pompus, but you do realise that PvP is probobly one of the biggest parts of this game right?
Almost everything revolves around PvP at some point.
And like the other poster said, try it. Once you get enough that a frigate or two won't be missed financially, head out and have some fun in the low sec area's.

I spent my times mining, mission running, working with research agent and doing trade for the corporation i am in.
And help the corp members and trying to find a place where we can have fun. In the end PVP will come to you eve if you don`t like it.
If you are not in a corp, try to find one, because from a certain level, when you character start to fly almost anything in your own race, the fun will be in low sec where you need to have friends, alliances to stay and survive in general. | Miner, Trader, Manufacturer, in the end Hunter. You set your own rules depending of the situation. |

I havn't had much eve time recently gotta change that.
But most of my time has been spent belt hunting in 0.0 to build up a bit of isk, running some r&d missions with my 2nd account, getting some bpo's researched so i can start production and the odd 150 man fleet battle thrown in

You will probably want to get into a corporation. Playing EVE solo is not how to play EVE at all. And when people say PVP think of it as Player-Vs-Player, not Player-Killing. The economy in EVE is PVP just like it is in real life, people will compete with you so they come out as the winner.
Join a corporation for sure though. You can do *anything* you want in EVE. Your possibilities expand a lot when you get friends and meet more people in the game. Maybe you don't want to be directly involved with pvp combat but maybe you'll find some people who want you to build the ammunition they need to blow people up. Think outside the box =P

AH.. thanks guys, appreciate the input.
Corporation wise, ya.. I intend to join one if I stick around. Just want to give it another month or two to sink in..
PvP, I've avoided so far, mainly because I'm new and not sure of the skill curve.. i.e... will someone who's been playing the game for two years just swat me against the nearest star for being the Noob I am.. hehe. How much skill IS actually involved in Pvp.. or is it all about who has the biggest gun ?
I guess you'd call me a CareBear.

Skills can only take you so far in PVP. It's more about your ship setup...and if you have friends...

I'm 2 weeks in, having a lot of fun...joined a corp, doing courier, intelligence and combat missions with some mining.. also backing up corp members...been podded a few times and pod-killed once...now I'm training up and saving up for a cruiser or bs.

I sit docked wondering if I should bother with another of the same mission while watching my skill ticker slowly climb and hoping my agent gives me a good offer for the 44k lps.
Worse its learning skill ticker so we know how fun THAT can be to watch going up.
As I've posted before, EVE is going to be a blast for me come June.

You should never have to wait for skills to have fun in EVE--you must be doing something wrong.

I had fun but I'm in a 'lull' period here. Maybe you can't remember having low skills now, and maybe due to most players being 'younger' the game was different anyways but for someone who's focus on pvp, the skill ticker is everything. This game is not hard to learn for someone who has been playing these games for years. Once you figure out what you are doing, you hit this plateu where I can't get any higher without the skills required. So I am the master of all level 3's but can't do level 4's obviously, and due to eve's poorly done missions (sorry but it is the weakest part of the game in terms of depth) I've done just about every misson many many times.
I could have some fun being a pirate short term, but thats not my end game goal. My end game is corp pvp, fleet and small group, and I've joined a corp suited to do so, but at best I'm a suicide tackler.
Against any pvper I'm grossly outdamaged due to skills (not skill) so I'm just working on gaining the skills I need to thrive in 0.0 while making isk and watching the skill ticker.
tick...tick...tick...
