Is it true that a lot of people now fit a webifier when engaging in pve ?
When i played 2 years ago this was unheard of.....
if so, then i guess i best fir one to my cruiser
EI: 'E was right. I was happier then and I had NOTHIN'. We used to live in this tiiiny old house, with greaaaaat big holes in the roof.
GC: House? You were lucky to have a HOUSE! We used to live in one room, all hundred and twenty-six of us, no furniture. Half the floor was missing; we were all huddled together in one corner for fear of FALLING!
TG: You were lucky to have a ROOM! *We* used to have to live in a corridor!
MP: Ohhhh we used to DREAM of livin' in a corridor! Woulda' been a palace to us. We used to live in an old water tank on a rubbish tip. We got woken up every morning by having a load of rotting fish dumped all over us! House!? Hmph.
EI: Well when I say "house" it was only a hole in the ground covered by a piece of tarpaulin, but it was a house to US. "

They can be useful on larger ships for dealing with inties / assault frigates.

Is it worth putting a webber on a harpy for pve ?

For PVE, its more a case of what size turrets you are using and what range you plan to engage.
Webs slow the target to allow them to A. Not escape and B. easier to track with turrets.
For PVE, A. isnt' an issue as they seldom seem to run away. B. However...if you have medium or large turrets its really nice. NPCs scream in, webbed and then pounded on by close range guns like autocannons or blaster. Small turrets laready have great tracking and won't see a huge benefit in my opinion.

I use it to keep ships and frigs from running, which in turn leaves the cans really spread apart. If I slow them down, the cans stay "remotely" together.

i run lvl1-3 missions in a harpy and always have a webber fitted. Not only does it slow your enemy allowing them to be hit easier, but also if you get missions with fast running cruisers that trying to fly out of your weapon range then you can lock them down

When I did L3s, I used 2 webs on my Prophecy. I sacrificed a lot of potential cap recharge this way, but it made it so I could fit all heavy beams and still never have a problem with gamma interceptors, spider drones, etc. Anything that got under 10km just melted in an instant.

I hadda put one on my Incursus once I fitted blasters; the rats started thinking it was funny to MWD out to 10k and laugh.

Always always always fit a webber in PvE now. If you don't the frigs can get under your guns and pwn you. Fit a T2 one or a good named one if you can to really slow down the enemy. -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?
