Edited by: Zysco on 01/03/2006 19:34:27 Seriously, this used to be such a major chokepoint. Its literaly empty 95% of the time now except for afk alts. PF used to be on par with EC in that there was nubs trying to gatecamp pretty much 23/7 and was great for easy kills in an inty. Hell 1/2 of jagerbomb pt 2 was filmed in pf/fd. But now ive been sitting afk 30km off the gate for 20 mins forum whoring AND I'M STILL ALIVE.
I guess its a combination of IMP deciding aridia would be a better place to mine than 4c, as well as the reduction of NORAD to a constellation, and the fact that BoB is mostly in delve/fountain. On top of that, tundragons left the area for empire pirating, and exotic dancers dont seem to have the numbers they used to.
Basically upper synd for the lose lately. But MHC area is crazy now. And there has been a massive influx of people into lower syndicate and western syndicate lately, always tons of people to kill around KFR, so I can't complain.
But sad to see PF go out this way

Well, Syndicate for beginners:
Before new entry points into 0.0:
FD-MLJ is the of choice when you want to control access to Upper-Syndicate, Cloud Ring and Outer Ring. MHC is mostly used by JQA, and for us to access Ostingle. Tbh, Ostingle probably stopped most people from Using MHC as access point to Upper Syndicate, and maybe the fact that you could just the FD/X-M gate to stop it.
The best mining system around there is XZH, used by NORAD and Nemesis, later by G. Also Syndicate had some smaller residents, like STV and some guys who randomly tried to settle in LSC/VLGD.
After the new access points:
Pf is only used by people who search for some PvP, NORAD is using the western access through Pain (yeah thats a system), cause its faster for them to enter empire that way from their Syndicate stations. 4c lacks minerals and a2 complex is too far for most guys to visist, with the new jumps its faster to go to fountain and just do your carebearing there. Cloud Ring has its own access point and there is basicly no point for using PF at all.
And Syndicate has still nothing to offer...

heh, I live 2 jumps from MHC. Lower syndicate beyond vv-v is... off limits though, for reasons I cant get into. Goonfleet are boring to fight, snigg are more content to camp ostingele, ive never even seen clankillers in the area, and 3fa generally dont venture out of their constellation much in numbers. The only people to fight really are that new alliance galactic aurora, who are always in mhc.

Well come on, I see you ever day, but you gotta admit PF/FD is no where near as fun as it used to be . I remember I used to run around in my claw and would constantly run into you guys (pre-exotic) fighting (cough spanking) IMP at the gates and I would pick off the stragglers.

The south is wayyy too blobby for small gang pvp.
Technically, its East :p And I'm in small gang pvp all the time, it's pretty much the same as anywhere else. Except HED-GP and that area down there, thats where the blobs happen. Damn Asuya :P -----

Theres fewer chokepoints in the south/southeast which means those chokepoints have more people camping them. They are also ridiculously far apart, and pretty much everyone in the area belongs to one of the 3 major factions. Meanwhile syndicate has like 6 chokepoints within 20 jumps of eachother, and every chokepoint generally has different people there.

to be honest there is more pilots in northern syndicate and outer ring/cloud ring that ever before I'd say, the death of pf is because they added 2 more chke points to these regions namely twx and f7c, this added with 2 or 3 choke points already there means there is just so many routes in all it takes is one pilot to say one route is safe and you all use that, its not a case of anymore ther being a camp and almost forced to try go through it if you want to get out there.

We certainly have gangs in mhc scaring off - A - camps all the time ranging from 2 pilots to even 10 or 15 at times. It usually doesn't take much
We tend to visit MHC only when it needs a nice swiffering.

the way to boost up PF again is to boost the market tbh - u get ppl coming for the market there and surrounding systems u end up populating the region.

I miss watching the Tundragons and Teddybears fight it out with NORAD in PF-346 and the rather large Tundragons/Teddybears scorpion camps of Oulley. The slightly large bubble camps of 4S Corporation and the few and sparse CA corporation fleets running about and lets not forget about Clankillers and DNA claiming the space further into the route..
I really enjoyed when PF-346 was busy. But all that frequent that area now is lone safespotted local smacktalkers and stabbed to the max AOI. pilots. --------

People ...we are still here. Maybe our numbers aren't exactly what the was before, but we're rising again, and we are still kicking ass in Syndicate. Yes, PF has gone more quiet, but that doesn't bother us, because the general traffic has exploded = cattle for the hungry masses ------------------------------------------------ 400x120@24000 bytes Max. -Capsicum A day of fun in Denmark |

Syndicate for the win !
It's so quiet in general ! its not just PF-346, There used to be a time when You could garuntee good engagements all round. Sadly those days are gone.
The phrase involving tumbleweed reflects on syndicate perfectly.

Major prob is when 3FA comes along for a fight, they also bring OSS with them... Wich usually leads to a fight we don't wanna fight.
But you're right, it usually doesn't take much to make you guyz move a whole fleet for a couple targets.

As Handon wrote, then the lack of camps in PF have actually given much more traffic for pirates like us. We also enjoyed all the great fights we had against Norad and Imperium, 2 alliances we always had fun with, we respected them and htey respected us, i expect they still do. But times have changed in syndicate, there are way mor entrences into syndicate now, where there earlier only were a few. So this means there are many more areas to camp, much more traffic around the area. not only through pf anymore. We just move around syndicate now to pick our fights. Instead of looking towards PF-346 .

Edited by: Kyguard on 02/03/2006 19:15:15 OSS is Omega Security Syndicate (I believe it's this, apologies if it's slightly off)
OSS is an informal alliance that constitutes of the corporations that are allowed by BOS/[5] to inhabit the JQV and MK7 constellations. They have an MDP with 3FA and regularly patrol Lower Syndicate like 3FA do.
