I could use some help refining this... I've done a few level 2's with ease although I would like to make sure this is a decent build...
High: 4x150 rails (3 regular 1 scout), 1 Med Nos Medium: named AB (don't have skills yet for MWD), named capacitor recharge 17% or 18%, named webber 80% i believe. low: named med armor repairer, 1600mm toungston armor plate (i love my corp), 3x 15% All resists
The reason i use the multiple passive resists is because I fly around in 0.0 also with my corp and due to an alliance war... we get ambushed occasionaly.
I currently have 5300 armor... I don't have the skills to make blasters efficient yet.. no mwd..
Any suggestions?

Edited by: Doc Extropy on 02/03/2006 09:12:02 I use Thorax, too.
My setup:
High:
2x 250mm Compressed Coil guns with antimatter charges 2x Dual 150mm Compr. Coil. w/antim. ch. 1x E-50 Nosferatu variant
Med:
1x Medium Clarity Ward shield booster 1x M15 - Braced Multispectral (improved invul. field) 1x Improved 10MN Afterburner variant
Low:
1x 400mm armor plates 1x Gauss field balancer 1x Damage control 1x Medium armor repair 1x Beta Diagnostic unit (otherwise my stuff won't work)
Drones:
4x Hammerhead I (can't use 5 yet)
Deals some good damage as well and is probably the best I can do with the skills I have at the moment.

The Law says - shield tank or Armour tank, but not both. Here endeth the lesson. ------------------ Dad (noun) - someone who's wallet now contains a picture where his money once was. |

My level 2 Thorax set-up looked something like this.
High x4 Heavy Blasters (2electon and 2ion) x1 Med Nos
Med X1 T2 AB x1 Named Webber x1 Barton Cap Recharge or named med cap battery
Lows x1 Named Med Repper or T2 repper x1 400 Plate x2 Rat Specific Hardeners or Adapative Nanos x1 Mag Stab
This set-up tears through all level 2 missions except for Human Cattle 4 of 5 where I use dual 150mms instead of blasters. Its a fun set-up, most frigates insta-pop, cruisers don't last long and it can take all the level 2 missions well enough.
No point in fitting a MWD for missions, too many deadspace missions where it doesn't work. ABII with decent skills is plenty for a blasterboat on level 2 missions.

Overall, you have a good setup. I just have a couple of suggestions.
High: Swap the NOS for another 150 rail. NPC have unlimited cap, you shouldn't need the cap help with this setup, and with 150 rails NPCs shouldn't get within 5k anyways.
Med: Good setup. You can't use an MWD in deadspace anyways, so the AB is good.
Low: You might want to consider swaping one of the passive resists for a Mag Stab and putting 2 mission specific active hardeners in the other slots.
Remember, your PvE setup is likely to be different from you PvP setup so don't be afraid to swap stuff around in your base when you know you're going to do missions. You don't need to setup your ship to do both at the same time.
