No inputs work besides typing, restarting the eve client doesn't solve the problem, I noticed several other threads have been locked related to this issue, is ccp hiding some type if keylogger trojan built into the client software that sends commands back to NSA backed servers to give intelligence to goonfleet? |

I've just completely reinstalled windows 8.1 & reinstalled eve, the game still does not recognize keyboard commands. This happened after the last patch. |

Apparently this is a common problem that hasn't been addressed. |

Do you have any overlays or anything like that running with EVE?
Can you try plugging in a different keyboard? Or mouse? Does unplugging the mouse help?
I'm kind of stumped - we're not doing anything special with keyboard handling, and we've never seen this happen inhouse to the best of my knowledge.
Maybe there are clues in the logs - try running with LogServer (https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Logserver) and file a bug report (https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bug_reporting). |

I've tried two different keyboards/mice
Still having this problem, before I reformatted I was running raptr, which game with the new AMD drivers, I am not running raptr with this latest format, but cannot get anything to function at all using the keyboard. Another note when the client is running it seems to bug out my mouses ability to click on items within my operating system, such as my applications in windows 8.1.
I am running a fresh install of windows 8.1, the onlything installed is firefox, amd drivers, eve. Keyboard is not detected, mouse starts to have trouble clicking on objects in my operating system with the client running, I tried safemode, direct 9 client, nothing works. |

We're going to try to repro this on Windows 8.1 - I'm still on Windows 7 and don't see this, we haven't seen this on Windows 8 machines either. If we get a repro case we'll hopefully have a fix soon. |

I've had this happen, it ended up being one of the keys I rarely use, like right-alt was sticking and I didn't realize it. Try turning off the computer and running your hand across all the keys a few times to lossen any up. People who don't even eat around the computer, but who smoke might get this problem as the smoke residue accumulates over time and can be sticky. Confirmed. I was having issues with combat keys such as dock, orbit, etc not working on space objects, but still working on overview. Followed link posted by dev for turning off XHCI. Running Windows 8.1. |

Pulled down new drivers for touchpad and seems to have resolved the issue. XHCI back on in BIOS. |

You can wash most keyboards of course. In sink or in dishwashers. Wash alone not with dirty dishes :) Do not use harsh dry detergeants that leave dry spots as residue. DO NOT RUN THROUGH DRY CYCLE !!!! (This melts some keyboard parts.)
Let keyboard air dry for several hours after towel drying outside. During drying - Turn keyboard several times to different angles to let water collected under keycaps etc drain and dry. DO NOT plug in keyboard until completely dry and no water drains/drips out regardless of angle of keyboard.
ALSO do leave batteries in while washing or reinsert batteries until dry.
Be prepared to replace keyboard. While washing does not usually harm keyboards if dried correctly -- its possible to guess wrong about drying especially the first time or if in a hurry. Also not every problem can be sovled by washing. Keys wear out. Glue doesn't dissolve etc. Personally I keep a spare keyboard to use when washing doesn't work any more.
Your first washing of any keyboard should only happen when thoughts of replacement are already in your mind.
But food and smoke do normally wash off. The length of time to dry a keyboard should however still encourage you to be neat and careful with food. |

I've been having this same issue for about 2 weeks. On windows 7.
I made a ticket 4 days ago with no response.
Windows 7, Microsoft 600 Keyboard, Razer Taipan mouse.
The steps I've taken: Restarted PC. Tried two keyboards (PS/2 and USB a Dell PS/2 and my basic keyboard a Microsoft 600) Updated ALL of my drivers. Updated my BIOS. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Uninstalled, removed every trace of EVE from my registry and PC, then reinstalled. Deleted my cache after reinstalling again. |
