In one of the more unusual cases heard by Federal courts, a companion drone has filed for divorce from her husband!
Incredible!
The drone alleges unreasonable behaviour by her husband, and claims that her requirement for repairs and maintenance is substantially higher than that of similar companion drones.
The husband's legal team stated that "These claims are without merit, and we shall prove them wrong, using statistics."
Amazing!
The drone and her husband had been married for 2 years, according to paperwork filed in the courts, and were married on one of the outer space colonies in the Gallente Prime system.
These colonies are allowed to set their own laws, as long as they do not conflict with Federal Law, leading to a diverse system within the Federation as a whole.
A Federation Senator had this to say "While space colonies may set their own laws, sometimes they shouldn't."
Controversial!
Companion drones are a common sight in some parts of the Federation, although some jurisdictions place limits on their appearance, so that they can be identified from actual humans. Rumours, Wars, Rumours of Wars, Wars of Rumours! |

The Federation - where you can be delivered by a midwife drone, cared for by a childminder drone, tutored by a teacher drone, exercised by a training drone, fed by a chef drone, transported by a drone vehicle, cared for by an AIMED and nurse drones, buried by an undertaker drone and, apparently, marry a wife drone. How one can marry a drone... Is this drone is like what, flying cloning vat? That contains its own genetic material, and you add your own to make children, or something like that?.. Well, I mean, for a drone to be biologically compatible to a human.
Anyway, this is too disgusting, and this is another reason why the Federation must be destroyed.
In the State you can simply donate your genetic material to the tube child program and don't have to live with a drone! |

I read quite well without them, thank you.
Okay, sorry about the tube crack. If you were born as a tube child, then no big deal. Hell, I was reborn through the recombinant process and infusion of DNA and RNA from my predecessor, just like several times before.
So, in that case, we were both born and shaped through somewhat controlled and artificial processes, it is what it is and we are who we are.
Thing with me, though, is that my DNA has been altered and contaminated by a targeted bioweapon, call it a parting gift....But that's another story.
Anyway, It only made me blind, as evidenced by these bionic baby blues that Scherezad developed for me on contract to replace my old and useless peepers, which sucks because every new clone has to be prefitted with them, but it will kill an embryo modified with it.
So, in a nutshell, I can never be reborn again, not by that method anyway.
But hey, I gave you some free insult ammo, so have a party. Nothing Personal - Just Business...

That's an incredibly hyperbolic argument, Pieter.

So... just to make sure I understand the drones case here... she is filing for divorce because she straight up admits she is a defective drone? As a defect, her mental subroutines are clearly suspect. Were I her husband, I would submit he make a claim under the warranty, as such warranty's typically last around 5 years. The drone manufacturer could be held liable in this case. |

I would just point out that no other woman can be divorced for being 'high maintenance'. If doing so were possible I suspect the number of married women would drop precipitously. |

Well, I thought the implication was that she required more maintenance due to overly high usage, and requires more repairs due to abnormal usage.
If you were to use say, a ground car as an example. Most people that have a ground car, use it to go to and from their workplace, the shops, visits to family and so forth, while generally adhering to the speed limits and driving normally. That pattern of use has a known maintenance schedule. If, instead, you take that ground car, and go illegal street racing with it, or indeed, legal racing, then that would place an extra maintenance requirement on the vehicle. If you used that ground car to e.g. tow heavy objects, or carry heavy loads, then that places a different additional maintenance requirement on the vehicle.
And that's maintenance. Repairs are something different. Repairs imply damage caused by misuse. A ground car requires no repairs unless it is damaged in some way - running into things, being run into.
So, the drone is alleging she is being excessively worn out and/or damaged by her husband's behaviour, which she is claiming to be unreasonable. |

That isn't what she claimed. she claimed
"claims that her requirement for repairs and maintenance is substantially higher than that of similar companion drones."
Unreasonable behavior was not properly defined and would need to be, and was put as a separate issue in the sentence regardless. There is no guesswork in law, the statement she made is what she made it, we are not to try and "interpret" what she said. If she wanted to charge he was not following the procedures outlined in her manual and outside of her normal operating parameters, then she would have directly said so. As she didn't, what you are stating is not admissible in the court of law. |

What a very strange situation.
Do mind that this is a news article and not the admissions made to the court - the esteemable Ms Valate presents a perfectly plausible postulate. I suggest an application of the principle of charitable interpretation and wish them both the very best in resolving this difference that has come between them.
I must say, I'm quite baffled by the whole situation. I had no idea that this was a thing. |

Do all gallentean jaijii are so stupid to speak about matters they have no a slightest idea about, like they know them, without bothering to ask first?..
And they ask me, why I hate them... they made it so themselves, each time they speak.
And no, unfortunately, I wasn't born in a controlled process.... but I bet you wouldn't be able to understand this anyway, so think whatever, jaijii. |

I'd say, as a Gallentean, that I find people speaking about matters they do not know about to be on par with the Caldari who do the same, as well as name call and make large racial assumptions of others they do not like. |
