A capital-sized module which has the opposite effect of a HIC's Warp Disruption Field Generator, giving a bonus to warp core strength on the targeted vessel. These would be counterable if the target vessel was under the influence of too many scramblers/ disruptors at once.
The module would come in three types: a t1 and t2 battleship-sized module that could be fit on Black Ops ships and possibly the new SoE "Nestor" battleship. There would also be a capital variant of the module.
Rough requirements would be Warp Core Operation III for t1 and Warp Core Operation V for t2 and capital sized modules. I imagine that it would take a decent amount of capacitor to run for a cycle, so you couldn't just spam it. At the same time, it would have a relatively short range, at 10km or so, which would stop people from randomly freeing others from across the battlefield.
The module might have a penalty when active that reduces sensor strength or something, under the pretext that "the high-energy fluctuations of a remote vacuum field partially blind the transmitting ship's sensors".
It would be a direct counter to a HIC's targeted warp scrammer, but only at a 1:1 ratio, meaning that one Warp Disruption Field Generator and one Remote Warp Core Reinforcement module would exactly cancel each other out, so if you tackle a titan with multiple HICs then you'd still keep it there.
The implications of such a module would be interesting: Black Ops ships could sneak into a system where its teams assets (like carriers, or dreads) might be tackled, and free them to warp out and attempt escape. I don't see this being overly powerful because, with the new warp speed changes, small ships (like HICs) can still catch large vessels even if they warp after the target did. It could even be used on capital industrials, to free each other from scrambling pirates. If two carriers had their wits about them, they might even be able to use the module to free one another and warp off quickly.
I think it'd be interesting because freeing a trapped capital vessel would no longer require a huge blob to free, rather, a relatively small force of Black Ops or another sacrificial capital could allow it to warp off. This would change the nature of many Null and Lowsec battles, point in case, Akasai, which started over a tackled Titan.
Anyways, just a random idea. I'd enjoy any feedback or other thoughts about something like this! |

I dont see why a module like this is needed. It adds literally nothing good to the gameplay. I am the Zodiac, I am the stars, You are the sorceress, my priestess of Mars, Queen of the night, swathed in satin black, Your ivory flesh upon my torture rack. |

So your suggestion is to create a mechanic where you can escape from combat for free as long as you have more RWCS than the other people have points.
So... In order to ever kill anything, people need to make sure that they have more points (= more people in fleet) than the people they're attacking.
That's a terrible mechanic. |
