While I understands some basics, I've only traveled through wormholes for some "sight seeing" and exploration. I have few questions about safety of "living" in w-space. As I understand main PVE activity is running sites in a system behind static connection if it happens to be safe and not in home system. - when static connection opens, you take a look to the other site and there are active players, what do you do? - do you risk Orca to collapse it and roll new static? or is it too dangerous? how to do it if Orca could be killed the minute it warps into another system? - what do you do if endpoint of wandering wormhole appears? - are wandering wormholes a problem or most of the time you only see static connection(s) in your system? - anyone knows if all w-systems have already been discovered/visited by players? are there any statistics availaible? |

Depends on exactly who it is on the other side of your static, and how many of them there are. Collapsing the hole will be risky, but it might be worth it, it's a judgement call you need to make at that time based on the data available at that time. Pay very close Attention to D-Scan. Not really, it's random. There's only c.2500 wormholes so yes they have ALL been visited.

Depends what you want to do, who the active players are and how many there are. Scout the system, do a dscan on the entire system (check and reposition if not the whole system is in scan range). Check for POS towers and wether or not they are online (every tower that is online will also have a forcefield on dscan, check your settings to make sure it will show up). Take a look at the poco's, and look up the owners on killboards.

If you want to a collaps a hostile static, have all the ships you need to close the hole warp in and jump at the same time. Hold cloak and jump back as soon as your session timer is done. Jump the largest back LAST. When under jump cloak, you are invulnarable until you move or do something else. It is risky though, make sure the hostiles cannot cross jump you and trap one of your closing ships on their side.

Take a look in the connecting system, scout it and decide if you want to keep it or collaps it.

Every static wormhole is a non-static wormhole at the other end, so you'll see quite a bit of them. If it's a problem or not depends on the connecting system and what is in it, and what you are looking out to do.

This method really only works in some cases. All holes have a total mass variance. Sometimes this means that you can't predict exactly how many ships of a certain mass will close it. You definitely want to avoid jumping all your ships through and then having to choose which one to leave there.
Wormholes are best with a corp. I'd recommend looking for a good WH corp if you are interested in them. www.ensignyooch.wordpress.com
