I've noticed that almost all of the fits that I have seen compare their tanking values vs angels as opposed to any other faction. Why is that? |

Angels sport a varying omni damage profile which is the hardest to tank against. The reason is to show either the ability to tank the toughest profile (others being then trivial), or to just show how your fit works against angels in specific. |

Because missioning for Angels is where it's at, their ewar is a joke, and they fly straight at you and orbit close up so you can use short range weapons and do maximum damage. I'd say the worst faction is Guristas with their extremely long range missiles and ECM. Serpentis comes close behind with damps and Sansha comes in second because their ewar is completely useless against missile boats.
So if you can help it, you should always be missioning for a corp in Minnie space. |

Except if you fly an Amarr ship. The ridiculous damage you will do to the NPC isn't worth the lack of EWAR. |

Or more accurately, a laser boat, a Geddon would do fine against Angels with Bouncers/Zerkers and Missiles/Projectiles/Hybrids. If you're in a laser boat, then yeah, you will lose too much damage to resists for it to be worth it, this same issue applies when shooting Guristas as well. So you're left with Serpentis which still damps and Sanshas/Blood which will TD you effectively crippling your main source of dps. Basically laser boats aren't optimal for missioning, they're useable but I would prefer any other weapon system. |

I agree 100%. I don't see how Angels is the hardest I feel that they are the easiest. Guristas own me in comparison to the Angels...
Thanks for the tip, I think I'll be moving to minnie space sooner than later! |

Unless you are in a Paladin and can laugh at all that silly tracking disruption. Even before the marauder buff Guristas were silly easy since they are like 95% kinetic damage in practice and their ewar is easily countered. Angles were easier still because lolpainters and Serpentis were the hardest since damps couldn't really be countered. (Yes drones but then you can't pick your targets.) Sansha and Bloods just needed a missile boat to get around the TD. But honestly the introduction of ewar immunity with the bastion module has made all of the pirate factions silly easy to mission against. Ouch. Serpentis are hard? Really?
A sensor booster with script in mid, maybe sensor amp in low. Some Auto Targeting missiles. Then they die. Life is short and dinner time is chancy Eat dessert first! |

It's obviously doable, but you have to waste slots on those sensor boosting mods which reduces your efficiency and it's not really doing anything for you once the damping rats have been taken out, you'll never have to bother with these things against Angels. Also auto targeting missiles are really derpy and rarely attack what you want them to, similar with drones, they will still shoot but they might not be shooting the correct target. |

Is Mobile Depot not a solution to this problem? |

In some cases yes, if you carry the possibly required additional tank in cargo and refit it when needed. Total efficiency is a hard equation. In the end it is isk/hour, but a crapton of things affect it. A sebo affects also your lock speed and gives seconds of efficiency every new spawn, being practically better than an align mod.
I like nullsec anoms a lot more than missions because the circumstances to optimize are trivial and universal. |

Its only really a problem for the mission "blockade", in which case you can have 3 range scripted faction Sebos, and still not be able to lock anything.
If they do a -75% damp, and it would take a +300% targeting range buff to compensate. It just can't be done.
Sure, there are FOF missile, but thats less DPS, only for certain boat, and that works just as well against any ewar. |

And even then you still can't pick your targets. Also sebos and signal amps can't really counter damps due to the nature of multiplication. Although they do help a bit you can still get stuck with under 15km lock range and 40+ second lock times no matter how you fit your ship on some missions.
However, as I said before bastion mode makes them trivial to kill. |
