Why do you have to be in a corp to have access to partitioned hangers? Could it not just be made a station option that instead of renting an office, which gives access to a corp hanger, we could just rent a hanger solely for personal use?
Thanks

I'm at work and can't check now, but can I ask the slightly tangential question: Does the assets window search inside station containers since the patch?

the only way i could see that working is if the partitions were client side same as the bookmarks? otherwise it'd add to the load on the db

actually, it wouldn't add any load at all. partitioned hangars are all seperate hangars with a unique ID, all you would be doing is creating 7 unique IDs per player.

A hanger is tabbed. One click for the hanger, one for the partition.
Plus, I keep all my crap in my items and reprocess it all every so often. There's been a couple of occasions I've accidentally reprocessed a station container by mistake.

7 unique ID's per player (around 100,000?) and you'd have to make a database call each time you changed which partition you're looking at, so instead of dragging in 1 hangar, the database would have to drag in 7. plus i can see it as a way of ppl abusing the 1000 item limit thingy
im happy with station containers, now that they dont auto-lock.. though i would like to see them searchable via assets, but for the most part, im happy with em :)

Better than reprocessing your Cap Rech II.... this was me: "Hmm WTF, Where did this stuff come from?"
So yea, I agree, a tabed hangar would be lovelly.

station containers and corp assets that are searchable would be good. But the best bet is any low end cr*p u have and wont be using either melt or put into a station container. Either that or a sec can somewhere. Have a sec can stash in a SS in each region. Just dont loose the BM (on 2nd thoughs no better to keep it in a station can) CCP requested feature please - quite simple really.
For CEOs days since last login details on all members in their Corp. this will help manage inactives and those that dont log in can be removed - |

Im pretty sure there wouldn't be that much extra load on the database, after all, it would only be accessed when you were docked - hey, just like now!

Dividing ur personal hanger in several compartments would be good, but not the biggest issue imo.
Signed IF it's easy to implement and doesn't put more load on the servers.
