Mining and missioning aren't great for raw ISK. Mining mainly gets you minerals and missioning with net you LP. Hm, at least buy some nice LP rewards and sell those. I made a nice buck selling LP Store items when I just started... I believe the Nexus Chips for faction ships were a nice trade item back when I started. What is is, that you want to get? |

Lots of things out there to steal. From corps that aceept you blindly, loot from mission runners (skill the expanded probe launcher!). Also waiting for gankers to shoot something and then stealing it from right under their noses can be fun too.
Everything is better than mining or running missions, either in terms of isk, fun or both. |

missions are actually good isk, IF you are willing to first invest about half a year into training for a good ship (and do the research). aside from that, i'm surprised nobody mentioned factional warfare. it's a little like mining exept other people shoot at you. well, in that regard it's EXACTLY like mining. in contrast to mining it pays pretty well if you know what you're doing and can help you find some buddies to shoot people with.

Am I the only one who find it weird, that he can't make ISK for what he CAN do.

Become a space poet!
I once met a guy selling poetry for ISK - IIRC he lives in Jita. OTOH, I imagine that space poets are just as starving as real world ones, so he's more likely doing it for fun. But who knows, one day someone might pay a billion ISK to commission an epic tale to his greatness.
More seriously - EVE is a sandbox, if you don't like missions nor mining, get creative. |

Honestly, just take everything you need from others, sell it, buy characters/ships/PLEX.
I don't do such things, but it really is that simple. People will just give you their things for any number of stupid reasons. It's up to you to come up with them. Poster is not to be held responsible for damages to keyboards and/or noses caused by hot beverages. |

found your problem. stop it and do something that actually has a respectable isk/hour. Yay, this account hasn't had its signature banned. or its account, if you're reading this. |

You should be able to mine more than 500k isk, just train up to a mining barge with mining 4 and mining upgrades 4. I think it's around a week (maybe a bit more) for those skills. It's not glamorous but it always helps to have a fallback position to earn isk. Kind of like when you want to start a band and your parents suggest you get a marketable degree "just in case". It never hurts to have a "just in case" source of income :D.
That said, other ways to earn Isk:
Station Trading. You can start this with small amounts of isk (1-2 mining runs in your present ship). If you don't know how to station trade I found a very good class by someone named Gideon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbH-JMMFj44 Station trading may be a bit slow to get started as you have a few skills to buy that don't come from the tutorials.
Exploration. I still only have basic exploration skills (salvage, hacking, archeology 3 each, plus 2's or 3's in the astrometric skills). I use the starter T1 exploration ships you get in the tutorials. I can probe down sites and open cans in highsec. You should be able to get all the basic skill books, a ship, and a set of probes doing career agent missions. Free skills and free ships are very useful when you're poor.
Salvaging. Get a Cormorant (or other destroyer with lots of gun slots). Fit in 4 salvagers and 4 tractor beams. The tractor beams can be kind of expensive when you have no income, so you might have to start out with only one and buy more as you can afford them. You can get free destroyers from the career agents.
Reconsider missions. I know you said "no missions" but mission running can be very lucrative and it's "safer" than PVP. In PVP if you face someone else one of the two of you is going to lose a ship. In missions, you have better than 50/50 odds of surviving with your ship intact. :D.

The two most profitable careers for a newer player are scamming, and AWOX piracy (joining corps to ransom their members in highsec). https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. An enemy is just a friend that you stab in the front. |

Here is a chart that may help you find what you want to do: http://swiftandbitter.com/eve/wtd/
If you like mining, there are mining missions that can get you isk and loyalty points. Mining is a low income profession. Almost everything else brings in more isk. But if you've lost everything, the rookie ship you get has a mining laser and you can mine to get back to where you can do other things.
The value of ore changes daily, so what is profitable one day will be not worth bothering on other days. This chart ]should help you decide what ore is most worth your time today: http://ore.cerlestes.de/index.html#site:ore |
