Completely Inaccurate,, my fleet all DCed and TS-ú was unaffected.
Login was connecting to server and then black screening.
It looks very much like a server issue rather than a "3rd Party".
Petitions are in, please replace ships lost, as they should be. |

just because YOU didn't have a disruption in other services doesn't mean there wasn't one. Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design. |

I believe what he is asying is that its an inaccurate statement as we were immediately able to reconnect to the server however upon selecting our toons we were greeted with greeted with a black screen allowing us to progress no further. |

Log is problems, black screen, mass dc, other pilots across eve getting traffic control, loading grid times spike, all points to servers. I mean relogging was typical of server issues, had all the usual symptoms. nothing else.
If it was a major internet provider problem it will be reported in news external to eve, as it would presumably have affected many businesses and private individuals not playing games.

You are a cabbage.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of this game, it doesn't take long to become an end user expert in teh server connection issues, we have seen them all before, and this was a very suspicious sausage of an incident.

if you would have read this thread earlier.. i am a software engineer that specializes in networking and security for distributed computing.
This is very indicative of two things
A) networking issues
B) traffic control = many users logging on all at once = load spike Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design. |

Yep if it wasn't some outside networking or ISP issue my whole internet would not have been down for 2 mins at each of the two disconnects I've had at the same time as everyone else.

For the love of god we told him time and time again that re-writing base codes is not the answer!!! Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

Hi Mr. Software Networking Engineer. Could you please inform me, what is the correct way to compensate for an out-phase noise degradation in a long-line fiber link? Also, let me know, what is the correct way, if any, to overcome an in-line amp failure. If those are stumpers, how about correcting a biologic infiltration in a line segment?
As much fun as a good conspiracy is...it was a third party network interruption. Get them in the wrong spot (say, a hub point for some long-line fiber), and it can cause downtime. Even more so when a constant connection system like EVE is in play. The risk of having your day ruined by other people is the cornerstone with which EVE was built and we want to keep that (infact, this is much more representative of the consensus opinion within CCP). |

CCP Falcon wrote:Hey guys, Sorry for the delay in responding, we've been investigating this problem. It was a third party ISP issue that caused the loss of connection that you guys experienced, which is completely outside our control sadly. Tranquility is healthy, and hasn't experienced any issues at all. The cause for this disconnect was a third party networking issue that seems to now be resolved. You should all be able to connect again just fine. Sorry for any trouble the surprise outage may have caused.
