There are many things that could be called strange, fantastic or not realistic.
But this one one of most exciting - cause it leaving creature!!!
Fedo has 3000kg mass (3 tonns) for it very small size. Its mass close to mass of same volume Plumbum. Still it is alive creature :) |

The mass of the creature in Eve terms is actually the mass of the creature plus it's container which is why that Damsel we keep on rescuing is indeed a fat ***** at 2000kg or so. Think of it as lifesupport/suspended animation weight and volume for trips in the hold. Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction... |

Latin term for lead.
Also etymologicaly where 'plumbing' originates from.
Regarding the topic, given that all other livestock and passenger cargo items have insane volume and mass (I think standard for people is 5 cubic meters?), it's safe to assume they are transported in some kind of a life support cryo tank. Not to mention if you blow up a hauler with livestock/passengers aboard, they'll drop like any other piece of cargo.

Corpses are around 0.2 m^3, which sounds like a lot, until you realise that that is 200 litres.
If they weigh 80kg, that means that 60% of them would be above the water if you threw them into a pool.
IRL, dead bodies usually sink - either on their own, or at most with 4 or 5 bricks tied to them. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. I have 2 Fedos now. Of course I have had to issue all mortal crew with specially designed nasal filtration modules so they can continue to work with the Fedo on board, it also makes cooks meals more palatable apparently so a good design all round. Anyone who doesn't want their Fedo I will gladly give it a good home.

As I collect civilians (and assorted livestock) I stopped caring about the mass/volume listed for them (including Fedos).
Many of them hardly make any sense, and some are outright impossible. Volumes for living individual people can range from 0.1 m3 to 30 m3 (and even larger, but it might be groups/multiple persons by then) Masses are even more ridiculous, I got individual people weighting from 0.1 kg to 2.000 kg (and more, but as above, by then they're usally more into group territory)
Fedos are one of these livestock beings with odd numbers (0.5 m3 and 3.000 kg)
If you like more info about fedo's you can read my blogpost about m: The Fedo, a strange animal

Have you considered the exotic dancer is 1m3? That's a small cage. Either that or they are gnomes... It doesn't say exotic gnome dancers... or maybe it's in the name, it doesn't define what exotic is... the definition of Exotic being "originating in or characteristic of a distant foreign country".... doesn't mean it's not from a country of small people. small.... square people.
Just brain storming.
Also, Marines are 2m3 they may be really tall but that's a fat ass. |
