I would make the suggestion that in addition to converting alot of the old servers into a new testing cluster, a few of the servers could be used to make a top notch pvp ladder.
In my opinion nothing could push people into moving out into 0.0 to fight and die then a real undisputable record of player achievements run by ccp.
Killpoints could be divided up between gang members so that if a battleship kill grants 100 killpoints and thier are 10 gang members involved in the kill, then each gang member recieves 10 killpoints.

For CEOs, days since last login details on all members in their Corp. this will help manage inactives and those that dont log in can be removed. |

Kierion has said that the servers were not moved to china and that they would be used in house by ccp to bolster thier test servers.

Ahem ... do you mean something like a WoW Battleground??? And killing ONLY for points/for the sake of it???
My opinion about this: Sharding 4tl!!! Killboard/Ladder 4tl!!!

You know what server hardware is worth after 4 years of nearly non stop use for something like EVE?
Making Test servers from them is mostly useless on the server side. They have different hardware.
Killpoints sounds a lot like CS to me. How do you add mining, production and trade into the equation? You have no idea? Well, leaving half the pilots out of the game sounds a bit strange for the running concept behind EVE. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

Why not make it the hardcore server that everyone wants? No clones no insurance and your characters are linked.
Basically you go pop on the pvp ladder server lost skill points are imposed on your main in the real universe.
Then CCP can sell 1 month subscriptions to view the forums attached to it for 5$ each.
Man those forums would be the best cheap entertainment EVAH

Spot on.
1) Anything that encourages killing for the sake of it contributes to making the game less realistic.
2) Anything that makes pirates more likely to want to kill you doesn't encourage people to go to 0.0; rather, the opposite. -------------------- Do you have a solution to the BM and instas problem? Test it against the bookmark requirements. |

Eve is not WoW. It should not be like WoW. If I wanted WoW PvP, I'd go join the ranks of blizzard fanbois. ----------

We'd been better off with you sleeping tbh.
If a pvp ladder would draw more people to 0.0 (which I dont believe for a second since most that would be interested in the sizes of the communities' individual e-peens would already be here anyway), then it would be exactl;y those people we do NOT need to eb in 0.0.
In fact, I'd go as far as to say we do not need those people in Eve at all. Eve is about cooperative goals and how you use the tools at your disposal to achieve them. Pvp being such a tool. The moment people just play to get kills and points to rise notches on the official ****measuringboard, is when we've truly seen Eve fail.

I disagree, the shear ammount of alliance and corporation killboards, including yours! which you take such pride in as an alliance. Debunks your argument.
Eve is not WoW and will never be, I see nothing wrong with moving the kill tracking systems of so many entities into one truthfull official system. Perhaps thats what many of you are affraid of, your propoganda machines break down at that point.
