Every agent that is part of a corporation of one of the 4 empires can offer you a faction ship. Does not have to be an agent for the navy. As long as he's part of either caldari, amarr, gallente or minmatar, you can get the offer. (You just can't get faction ship from the other smaller groups, like khanid kingdom, thukker tribe etc.) The offer is randomly picked out of a pool going from somewhere below your LP amount reaching up to it. So if you're unlucky it might happen that you don't get offered a faction ship, even tho you have the required LP. Also there are different offers, some require less LP but other stuff on top, others let you trade a caracal for a navy version etc. There is a site that lists the offers, don't remember the link atm.

Any agent will do as long as the faction he is working for has a faction ship to offer.
Then you do missions for this agent till you have 200k LP's and if you have a bit of luck he/she will offer you a faction BS in exchange for these 200k LP and 500Mil ISK
Thats the easy part you just have to do the misions. ------------------------------------------- Should you disagree with me, well I guess that is because I disagree with you. If you have a problem with that please feel free not to tell me. |

does it matter on the lvl of the agent? i am currently using 2 agents in Haatomo both are lvl 1 and a quality of 18 and 14 ( i think) and the my standings with the better quality of the 2 is a rating of 6+ but have yet to get any decent offers from him :(

I don't think the level matters. But it will take ages to reach 100k LP with a lvl 1 or 2 agent. (I think 100k is the first chance for a faction cruiser. Not sure tho.)

No, not totally random. If you work for caldari, you will get caldari faction ship offers. Navy caracal at around 100k, Navy Raven at 400k (?). Im unsure about the values but that's how it works.

Edited by: inSpirAcy on 18/03/2006 13:03:55 The primary faction ships are too common to be fun nowadays. If you're gonna throw ISK at a pimpmobile, at least make sure it's unique.
Have a look at the pirate faction cruisers, they're much sexier. Pop this URL into the EVE IGB to see what's on offer:

The pirate ones are even more common,as you can just get the out of complexes. BTW, does anybody know how much LP is required for a Gallente Navy Comet?

Well, as with most things in EVE, buying them off Escrow or auction is usually easier and cheaper.
Same goes for other faction ships, really...

unlike alot of other faction frigates that are apearing in complex's, there is no blood raider complex's that drop them, so the only way to get them is by finding the dark blood on the belt that has one or by doing missions for the blood raiders. makes them generaly harder to find.
