I've been having numerous "socket closed" crashes occurring on characters that are logged in in Jita. One moment I'll be putting something up for sale or handling a contract, and the next I'll be kicked offline. It's happened on multiple days across multiple characters and different service providers, and it's only happening to characters logged into Jita.
Anyone else been having this problem? |

I have the "socket closed" issue on and off myself. Anywhere, not just Jita. It's rather annoying, but from what I was able to search up, it's some kind of random issue that effects some people for no explained reason.
Could be an ISP thing, could be CCP. Who knows. Imma blame the Minmatars. |

Don't do Jita. Problems solved.
Also, the socket wasn't closed, it had a tamper resistant safety cap installed so you cant hurt yourself. Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

I'm going to blame this!

It's CCP's fault for letting everybody place Mobile Depots and Mobile Tractors anywhere they want.
Actually I'm also a victim of the Socket Closed messages. In fact, I get double messages when it happens. And I know it's not due to all the MD's and MT's but you gotta admit those are starting to become a problem. Too many Reinforced Mobile Depots sitting outside of stations in major Trade Hubs now.

You know you don't have to post, right? But yet you feel that compulsion. There's nothing quite like it anywhere else. You have to do it.
And that's what trading in Jita is like. |

Eh, that's usually because your ISP uses dynamic IPs...and the server doesn't like that.
I've had this happen to me whenever I play Eve through 4 AM as that's when I've set my router to forcibly break my internet connection and log back in because else my ISP will do it for me at a less ungodly hour.
Yay German ISPs with their 24 hour mandatory kick. |
