Hi.
Can mobile depot be scanned down using combat probes? If it does - what is the best way to create a container in null sec to use it as storage in systems, where I can not dock to any station?
Thank you. |

They can be scanned down. Each model of the depot has a different signal strength so the Yurt (most expensive) is the hardest to scan but it can still be done.
If you want a place to change fittings that cannot be scanned, then you will need an alt in a cloaked ship that has a ship maintenance bay fitted to it. Like an Orca.... but then getting your Orca into Null might be an issue :)

Mobile depots can be scanned, but can't be destroyed unless you ignore them for 48 hours. Anchorable containers can't be probed but can be seen on dscan. The trouble with your plan is getting your things in and out, and re shipping when you die. This strategy is probably better suited to short camping trips in wormholes than nullsec. Unless your objective is just to terrorize the locals a little bit - cloaky camping taken to a higher level. everevolutionaryfront.blogspot.com |

I think you place a Yurt at a safe BM in a large system with low activity. I doubt many people go looking for them. |

Thank you for all answers. At this moment I consider to place depote 40 au above the solar system. When someone will use combat drones, my depot will be above their scanning radius. Is there any way how to fly 40 au to the point, where is nothing to warp to? I mean - in reasonable amount of time... |

Nope
There used to be a way to make Deep Space safe spots, but CCP fixed that.
Only option you now have...burn away from something...for a very very long time. Want to have some chat in game? Need help to get into the game as a new player? Just join my channel: Crazy Dutch Guy |

Thank you. I wonder if some anomaly can be ouside 32 au range... But tutorial says they tends to be close to planets, so most probably no. Is there a way I can get bookmarks from other players? |

They usually are located at "random" spots far from normal traffic lanes. Pick a cloaky ship, warp to Incursion site, drop a bookmark and GTFO.
Normal missions and FW plexes work for this too. Getting one far out of plane is still mostly luck though.
I bookmark them all out of habit if they are out of plane, and delete old ones, because you never know who's been paying attention. |

Exploration sites and combat anomalies are always within 4AU of a planet as far as I'm aware so this limits their utility a bit but they are still useful for safes.
I have a couple of bookmarks for deep safes in Fountain from the Fountain war of three years ago but I honesty don't know if they still work, I'd assume so but perhaps someone else can confirm that.
You can buy bookmarks from people, there used to be a regular trade in them, but you would never know how many other people have the same bookmark(s). |

How I can buy or sell bookmark. Is it a good job - fly afk in a quick frigate to make a new bookmark far away from the grid and then sell it? I mean if I will manage to get a mission space far above the grid and then use it as a start up for the frigate... With time I can get far away even if flying afk. |

If you open your People & Places window and go to the Locations tab.
In there you have all your saved locations (aka bookmarks for old people). If you can:
Drag&Drop them to your cargo / station inventory and it will become a item which can be traded / contracted.
Shift+Drag&Drop, this creates a copy of the bookmark in your inventory but you keep your own. Also can be traded/contracted.
The issue with buying bookmarks from other people...can you trust them...
Who says that once you warp to it, there won't be a fleet waiting to kill you? Who says he just didn't bookmark the station and renamed the bookmark?

Is there a way I can get bookmarks from other players? Anomalies and complexes are always within 4 AU (or was it 8 AU?) of planets or other major celestials (e.g. gates, sun). Never farther.
Something you could do is find a very sparse, large system with very long warps. If, for example, the system has a big 50 AU warp in the middle, if you place a bookmark in the middle of that, then sitting there you would be off d-scan (more than 14 AU) from both stationary positions. You could anchor a Yurt mobile depot there (it's harder to scan than a regular one is).
I do not believe there is any real way to make a "foolproof", or at least easy, solution for a secret base in nullsec. Good luck though!

4 AU. Wormholes are a slight exception I believe, spawning up to ~5ish AU away. |

Thank you, J'Poll. Question is answered. Mods can close the topic.
PS. It will be me, who will sell bookmarks ;) So no problem with trust from my side ;))) |

Dropping a bookmark in the middle of the warp can still get you caught, though, especially if someone is paying attention (and if someone is harassing a nulsec group for a while, someone will start paying attention).
A better option would be to make a few intermediate bookmarks, going from a gate to a distant location, then from that distant location to another location, and from there to a third location, making a bookmark in the middle of the third stretch. This way, at least, you'll be out of the direct warp path, which will make it less likely that someone will be able to catch you through dumb luck or smart surveillance. Most methods for creating deep safes have been removed from the game:
Currently, the easiest method is to bookmark incursion sites... but this requires waiting for the incursion to spawn in your constellation of interest.
Mission bookmarks sometimes are at good "deep safe" locations.
Jumping/briding to collapsing cyno's and/or traveling through collapsing WH's sometimes spew you into very random places within system (most commonly the center of the sun). This will sometimes put you in a good deep safe on the edge of the system, but will just as likely put you next to another celestial too.
