The following is a list of suggested game improvements which both myself and other various people have suggested which ide like you to consider. all suggestions are gathered from personal experience and posed questions on the rookie help channel in game.
1. Sortable folders in cargo hold: although the filter options hold some small organizational functions, the ability to make folders within the cargo hold of your ship would be highly advantageous. eg.. a folder in which all quest items automatically go once aquired, or ammo can be placed but will still allow auto reload. or generally items the user does not want to sell by accident or have to fish through to find amongst his/her junk.
2. a link to the forum page in the help menu in-game: this would be simple and encourage people to come to the forums more.
3. changing the people and places name: the more common and themed names for people is contacts and the most common for places is locations. renaming the people and places to contacts and locations would make sense.
4. a refresh button for the assets: i have often found the assets list does not refresh for an unknown reason and i have to wait for my items to appear, sometimes for 5 minutes. a refresh button there somewhere would be useful
5. a filter for storyline agents: the current show only available filter will not filter storyline agents what will not give you missions due to "lack of referral"
6. standing increase indication: it would be useful to display the amount of stand increase for both the agent and the faction/corp for each mission, perhaps in the agent conversation screen.

You think that your ideas are good... and at the same time can't figure out where this thread actually belongs.
Clearly a winner. :) Create a new, pretty, female character! Make the name count! Join the epic boo bees! (RP,PvE/PvP,wardecs,new players!) You're at it from day 0! |

#3 is a good idea. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"
Never forget. |

While it's not the same as folders, you've looked at the custom filters you can create?
Quote:4. a refresh button for the assets: i have often found the assets list does not refresh for an unknown reason and i have to wait for my items to appear, sometimes for 5 minutes. a refresh button there somewhere would be useful The Assets window is marked that it's delayed 5 minutes. This is to reduce the database activity (and, I assume, allow for syncing from the running state to the DB.). Adding a button to refresh would defeat this optimization, and allow people to load the system without a significant benefit.

I take 5 missions. how does it display the rise, as it's based off the difference between your standing and 10, and thus has to calculated at the time you hand it in.

Good ideas but they'll never happen, people propose great/easy to implement ideas and they might even get a dev to reply to them, but nothing ever gets done. We ARE getting really broken deployables though so there's that. |

How much "junk" can you possibly have in one cargohold? Even if you had four different ammo types, two sets of probes, a booster and some paste, that's still not enough stacks of things to need to sort through. But alright, fine, I guess it's a valid idea.
Kairi Forbes wrote:2. a link to the forum page in the help menu in-game: this would be simple and encourage people to come to the forums more. It would encourage more beginners (who often consult the help page) to post in the wrong forum sections and make a mess of the place. Already there are so many topics devoted entirely to one-line questions and comments that would have been more at home in Help or Rookie Help channel in-game.
Kairi Forbes wrote:3. changing the people and places name: the more common and themed names for people is contacts and the most common for places is locations. renaming the people and places to contacts and locations would make sense. It would also be much longer to type, and doesn't have the same roll-off-the-tongue easiness as "P and P".
Kairi Forbes wrote: 4. a refresh button for the assets:
The assets window is clearly marked "Personal Assets: Delayed by Five Minutes", and this is very deliberately designed that way to stop you from constantly polling the database for all your unpacked items (such as ships with names), which each have their own entry in the database. If you desperately need to see the change in your assets right away, you can use the "Search" tab, which will update once when you perform a search, and you can simply do a search without any keywords, which will yield a list of all your assets. Alternatively, if you dock, or undock, your assets list should update.
5 seems alright, I guess? Although why would you want to see unavailable (storyline) agents if you're filtering out unavailable agents?
Kairi Forbes wrote:6. standing increase indication:[/b][/u] it would be useful to display the amount of stand increase for both the agent and the faction/corp for each mission, perhaps in the agent conversation screen. I think this would be difficult to calculate, since your standings will go up and down for various factions every time you do a mission or shoot a little red cross and so on. Also, I believe the standings aren't calculated immediately.
I suggest you expand on ideas 1 and 6, make some mock-ups of what the interface would look like, explain more in detail what exactly the problem is that you're trying to solve and put into more concrete terms how your solutions work. Then you'll have a really good FAID post! Do YOU like to undock? |
