I don't think you understand how timers work.

LUMINOUS SPIRIT wrote:Sounds like just such a big wase of time. this concept of sov, its messed up in the first place. Sov should be contested like in factional warfare, multiple buttons of varying sizes to orbit simultaneously. break up da blob into manageable fleet sizes operating on multiple grids. 1. clients would still be on the same node/same system. 2. there's a thing called ihub in fw, too.

And, serious question here, no trolling ......... is that really worth the insane tedium, the frustration of these types of fights? Eve's sov system seems like a race to the bottom - whoever is more willing to waste more of their life on this unbelievably boring mechanic emerges the "winner". Abolish all sov, npcnull everywhere, make the game a better place.
No, and I wouldn't mind NPC null everywhere.
NPC null has the superior sov system. |

Got at least 30+ dread killmails. Played some Borderlands while waiting in HED for the other side. Fight was laggy but to be expected. Was pretty hilarious in the end.

You'll most likely lose 200 ships (1 fleet) when they cyno their uberblob onto it but in return you'll pulverize their assets across nine other systems at once. Knock out their ISK faucets and you won't have to fight the next generation of blob fleets. Victory at last. Oh wait, that would imply that were fighting to win a war and not just the e-peen glory of your killboards, and we all know that's just crazy talk.

You do know that there is a limit to how far TiDi can alleviate said issues? TiDi has a max value and when that max value is exceeded you get back to the blackscreen country. Note, I'm not saying that TiDi is bad because it really is not, all I'm saying is that it's not a miracle cure all potion. Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Labs Factory. I went last night as an observer, I wanted to see a cap fight and experience TIDI. I was not disappointed. It looked cool as shite tbh even though I hate the big alliances with a passion. I was not disappointed except for when i crashed and couldn't log back in. |

You've slightly missed one quite important point... no one wants to go shoot structures instead of the hundreds of supercapitals sitting in their space... Also that's assuming that your tactic would work, I watched a very interesting video about what makes an alliance win a sov war in nullsec, it's all about the pilots, the loser is the side whose pilots simply stop logging in for fleets. Now if I was in a 200 man fleet that got whelped to a 2000 man fleet because my alliance was unwilling to fight them I'd be a hell of a lot less inclined to log in for future fleets.
I should also point out that while everyone expected lag no one expected it to be nearly that bad. |

Who said anything about taking the systems?
Scorched earth, baby. Vape their POSs, their moo-goo hoover ISK printers, their shipyards, their POCOs, their ice-bot fleets, their freighters.
And then let them keep the system and all the upkeep bills that go with it. Laugh as they slowly bleed themselves dry to maintain control over dots that are worth nothing because you nuked every ISK producing facility inside it.
Stop thinking "Napoleon" and start thinking "Sherman."
