So, I need to grind some Caldari state faction rep. I started cosmos missions years ago, but unfortunately have NO idea where I left off. After much debate, I think grinding l4s would be the quickest route (cant join fw, spend a lot of time out of Caldari space). Therefore, I need to blitz them with absolute haste. I don't care about the isk from bounties or salvage...I only care about the standing.
My choice is btwn a cnr, golden, or tengu. Ship will be sold as soon as grind from 3.95 to 6.0 is complete...initial investment doesn't matter. Paper stats arent what they used to be, so from first hand experience, I'd like some input on time per mission and practical dps. Thanks in advance! |

as far as i am aware, lvl3s are about as good for faction standing grind, if not better. also, have you done all the tutorial missions in all the newbie systems?
as for your question: personally, i would buy a CNR and a HAM tengu and use whichever one is better for the mission at hand.
edit: just in case you haven't alreay, google faction standing repair plan.

Confirming: Level 3s are better for grinding rep as you get more storyline missions. A cruiser (tengu) is better suited because you'll be spending a lot of time in warp (most L3s can be done pretty quickly).
Having a warp speed implant would be useful as well.
If you are set on L4 missions the tengu is still good, but I'd rather roll in a CNR.
This isn't a faction repair plan, you just want standing, supposedly for a POS? |

I had seen it in the past, but not recently. The SOE epic arc will likely be where I start. Thx for that. |

This isnt a repair plan, no. Its only for standings. Level 3s are certainly easy to blitz, and a well fit tengu will fly thru them, but do level 3 storylines give as much faction standing as level 4? My character has good skills and it will be bling fit, so level 4s will be fairly quick also. |

My character has good skills and it will be bling fit, so level 4s will be fairly quick also. It's 16 missions to get a storyline. In theory, you can blitz level 3's much faster than level 4s, thus popping more storylines and hopefully getting more standings than from a single level 4 storyline.
In an Ishtar with warp speed rigs I'm averaging ~6 minutes per level 3 mission (travel+mission), but this is in a system where most everything is less than 10 AU away.
If you go the Tengu route in level 3s, use the Gravitational (warp speed) propulsion system.

If you are *only* interested in the faction standing, I think that Level 4 Distribution missions is the way to go. It should be the fastest way to get storlyline missions. |

This.
Also, use either a blockade runner or one of the haulers with an agility bonus. Fastest way to faction gains I know of.

Data centers are one of the easiest things you can possibly do to bump up your faction standing. Buy tags at appropriate hub, dump them into 3-6 agents in a designated system. A 0 SP alt can do it. |

I've been looking at doing that myself but gets pretty pricy when you have to buy 20 tags at 8m a price for 1 agent, I think avg price which varies on the faction is around 300 to 400m for 1 faction |

I can support this advice. There is a suggestion in Forums & Ideas that will make it harder for griefers to grief missioners. Unique Mission Item Theft Rebalance

I recall seeing ads from player corps that offer standing bumps. You join the corp which has 10.0 or somesuch and after 24 hours your own standing is raised by a pro rata amount.
Also, if it's a POS you are after, there are services provided whereby a corp owner raises a POS for you then makes you CEO and leaves.
Don't remember them being particularly pricey either. |

This one is easy
SUROKEN System Caldari Navy lvl 3 agents. There are 3 agents in Station all security.
Just tag them all and do all three in a row.
I've done this so many times on many toons. It's the fastest way in my opinion and it's sort of fun as they go very fast.
