Could we have a more smoother market integration between EVE and Valkyrie?
It's been almost a year and we still haven't seen such integration between EVE and DUST 514.
Please bring market integration between EVE Online and Valkyrie early on in the game!
EDIT: That also includes gameplay integration as well. |

Oh God... so this game is going to be even more "distanced" from EVE Online than DUST 514. |

As said already, it is suppose to start out as a stand alone, separate game, based in the eve universe, that will then be integrated at a later point. Which makes a lot of sense. If they get it to market sooner rather then later, and it sells well they can get some money to toss at its development and help get eve and dust to where they can use this in that. And if it flops, then not a huge deal as they won't need people making updates for it. |

In a business sense, you are perfectly right.
But that is exactly what we heard for DUST 514 and look at where we are at now.
It's been many months (anniversary coming up soon), but we still don't have any meaningful market integration between EVE Online and DUST 514. |

They said at fan fest that they wanted the dust economy to stand on its own before they made the two complete. It could be they will announce that at fan fest? But lets take this way, so they made EVE VR (Valkyrie) as a side project to test the rift.. but when they had it at fan fest and other places, it was so popular that ccp said 'screw it, lets make it a game' Now lets say Dust is bombing (I have no numbers and when I played a few weeks ago I was in lots of matches with plently of people) So they green lite Eve:VR, but if dust was bombing, they would be size to do stand alone. Anyway, with everything things can change and I think I rambled lol |

Here's the info http://eve-offline.net/?server=dust looks like 3000 people on constant rate hm you could make some decent assumptions on that, at 3k constant... i'd say that's rather good. And about in line with eve during its first year.
anyway Valkyrie.. omg more info please ccp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fan fest is still too far away! |

It's not really possible to directly integrate Valkyrie into TQ. The tick speed is too low. And tidi would be insane.
At best it might be a FW addon in a similar way to dust, affecting the difficulty to flip systems.
But it doesn't need to be directly linked. Just in the same setting would be cool, for a decent fighter sim, perhaps with a PVE storyline or missions.

Sadpanda. As a DUST player, I think DUST's failure to build off EVE upfront is one of it's greatest weaknesses. It's retreading over the same territory CCP already tread over ten years, trying to catch up. |

this would be awesome, i'd love to zip around and 'help' Steve blow up. Or be in Hed-GP, or relive some epic battles form a different point of view and they can be flipped, i.e. I could 'save' steve in this version. With eventually getting Valkyrie tied in so I can zip around in real time, while my carrier/nxy is attacking something and my dust guy is attacking the planet below... yea I tould be hard to play all 3 at once but still!!!! I was the ability too.

DaReaper, real time space integration with EVE would mostly require rewriting EVE for it to work with Valkyrie. Sadly, this is probably pretty unlikely within the next decade.
But stuff in "current day" could integrate characters, corps, economy, stuff could be built by EVE players, etc.
I could definitely see a historical game in singleplayer, and then something multiplayer that hits Tranquility. |

Start it separate, but consider having the Valkyrie fights happen in incursion systems and that influence Sansha constellation control. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. EVE's golden rule: Never trust anyone in-game unless you are sleeping with them in real life. Even then, they may only be screwing you to screw you. |

Market integration, at least, would be phenomenal -- one of the hallmarks of EVE-world play is that every decision, every kill has consequences. Having a 'simulation mode' for normal play would allow an easy way out-- but tie gameplay effects and campaign play to the EVE market. Pretty please? <3 Gameplay integration can come later once the scale of active play is determined-- first by setting up campaigns, and then feeding its effects into existing systems. The biggest problem is that if you're going to connect it, they should be designed from the ground up to do so. Particularly with the way data structures are laid out and such. |

the dfference however, is that dust is not battle on the ground at the same time as say the 2000 v 2000 fight is going on. But if the VR pilots are to be maning our fighters.... not you would have problems. But yea, boo knows |
