I found this buried in the 1.1 patch notes
"Drones that are set to aggressive will no longer perform automatic actions against a target if those actions would trigger a new Limited Engagement, unless explicitly instructed to engage that target."
Since to my knowledge CCP never called this an exploit or bug should it really be listed under "FIXES"?

Fix or not, makes the whiners feel better listing it in the fixes as the only reason they would "fix" it, is because of whiners "PvE in EVE is a trap to turn you into PvP content, don't confuse it for actual gameplay." Lipbite |

Well I wouldn't say CCP listens to people whining on the forums. There's a 16 page post about 1.1 changes to omnidirectional tracking links. A huge majority of the replies say how sucky this change is but I don't see CCP even entertaining the idea that they could be wrong.
Of course maybe it's not how many whine but rather who whines... |

You can kindly jump in a lake. This is a good change. Especially as its specific to empire space, so if someone aggresses you in null/w-space or you're at war, it shouldn't have any affect. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"
Never forget. |

Somethings are not always obvious for common folk, we need big red letters in item descriptions. I would have been happy with a simple note added to the item description saying something along the lines of, "Hey moron, unless you want to be ganked in highsec in your shiney mission ship, set your drones to passive while you have an MTU deployed"
I know, it was probably obvious to all the Eve experts out there, especially to the mission gankers who took advantage of it early on, but to us non PHD holders, not so much.
anyway it's a done deal now I'm just a modern day caveman in search of a bigger club. |

I hope it has been fixed. There is a suggestion in Forums & Ideas that will make it harder for griefers to grief missioners. Unique Mission Item Theft Rebalance

Don't really see what difference it makes tbh. |

I put in a petition to figure out the issue prior to the patch. After reading one particular thread, I was curious about how CCP was handling the issue. Based on the response I got, I think it would be to the advantage of anyone who lost a ship to this tactic to file a reimbursement petition.
If some concerned party were interested in passing the word to those pilots, I think they might be surprised by the results. |

I totally agree eve needs less visibility, easy to understand mechanics makes it harder to bully new players, and that is a bad thing!. CCP should add loads of cryptic aggression mechanics, that only basement dwellers who has a intimate relationship with eve understands. I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous. |

Of course since it is drone related, expect it to resurface in a few months, as drone AI has always been unreliable. |
