After that battle a few days ago I think that we shud make a memorial for all the NPC's that when down with ships as us capsulers got away into a new clone body. or at least a item in rememberance to be given to those that fought there.
I mean just how desperate were they to sign on with us in the first place? imagine working for a captin that NEVER goes down with the ship? those poor sod's. I feal bad for them being cannon fooder for us. and so I say rest in peace npc crewers, rest in peace. |

Is being discussed here.
From an in-character perspective at least.
If you're a roleplayer go there instead, you'll live longer.
If you're not a roleplayer then keep it here (or in EVE Fiction section), you'll live longer. Major (Ret.) Caldary Naval Militia | Morale Officer (Pinup model) Just an innocent explorer!-á pâä | -áWormhole Sisters of EVE Herrbert: "womwomwowmwoaugharwajwowoooommm"

For a laugh someone did some maths a while back and worked out we had probably depopulated New Eden entirely by now, based on the CCP crew sizes for ships. Even allowing for lower capsuleer crews & most pirate vessels being under strength. |

When you say 'we', are you referring to CCP or the player base?
If you mean the player base then by all means go ahead and do it.
If you mean CCP then forget it. They already have way too much stuff on their 'to do / soon' list.
Besides that, CCP is constantly getting sidetracked by some other new 'shiny' project so it basically wouldn't happen for years to come. And if it did happen, it would just be unfinished content that's added to the already growing list of things within this game that's currently in need of attention.

If you want to memorialize NPC crew members, think of all the poor souls lost aboard my catalysts when CONCORD destroys my ships. Why do they punish my crewmembers and leave my pod unharmed? People call me a monster (among other choice words in local)...If anyone is the monster here... its CONCORD.

Mission runners commit much worse acts of genocide daily.
Just Serpentis Blockade 4 results in well over a hundred thousand dead.
Now think of those mission blitzers that can run that mission in 20 minutes, have a coffee, then do it again. In one week they can kill as many people as died in the whole First World War. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. Mission runners are horrible...second only to roleplayers in their awfulness.

That said, from an RP stand point at least, they are not called pirates just because it's a cool nickname. Imagine the absolute *** ton of genocides they've committed. Us mission runners would be far from innocent saints, but those same pirates would be far from being victims themselves. We kill them for money and they kill others for every other reason. My question would be, "Who's really the worst of the two?"
My vote for pirates, especially that ***-hole Kuvakei -- he can eat a fat one. |

I'm not claiming that the Serpentis or other pirate factions are decent people. But their crimes are of a much smaller scale than killing a million people a week for profit. Hell, in some of the lore, Mordu's Legion come across as better than any of the empires. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content.
