My apologies if these have been fixed, I cannot log into Chaos until the next full patch is released so I cannot test them. However, these issues are LONG overdue, impede gameplay, and are causing some of our members to quit the game due to severe personal loss because of these bugs and the total inability of the CS department to do anything about it
1) Local bleed
2) Buddies list online/offline indicators
3) Give tools to GM's so that they can better investigate incidents
4) Add better logs that do NOT get cleared after you get podded
5) Jump in points being in the middle of a station you were docked at some point 49 days ago
6) Ammo not removing when you drag it from a gun , forcing the removal of the entire gun before the ammo comes out
7) Fix the Thukker Mix faction PLEASE. This has been reported 20+ times by ONE member of our corp since beta, so I can imagine how many TOTAL bug reports there are. It's broken. We lost ships tonight because Thukker Mix factories SHOOT at our members. Why do they shoot at them? Because their standing is too low. Why is their standing too low? Because killing angel pirates in the system LOWER the thukker mix faction. In fact, when a player gets killed by thukker sentries due to bugged, low standing, involved parties are listed as THUKKER MIX AND ARCHANGELS. These factions are tied. In fact, Thukker is tied to MANY pirate factions. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!
Thank you for your attention? ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!

jeesus, you want the patch to take another 4 weeks more to come out, let them work on what they are doing and actually finish it before giving them more ideas
sure these things need to be fixed but what are we all gonna have to move to chaos to play since they dont hurry up and patch?
i wonder what would happen if everyone decided enough was enough and didnt want to wait anymore and everyone went to chaos? you think they might decide to patch sometime in the next year?

If another lie gets posted in the patch log about something being fixed that is not fixed at all I will find another game (cargo container refresh bug). I take being lied to very personally. I do not need devs lying to me and I'm sure a lot of my fellow players feel the same way. Not just combat loged, but also is it possible for them to be able to check the time of combat, death, and for the server to log the node the person was connected to and if it disconected.
Ie did the person actually CTD in combat. Would allow ppl to actually get compensated for when the server f's up not them or their system.

that is a great idea for CCP to cover there ASS's on the side when there servers just crap out... and people lose ships and stuff due to that...
but isp/player connection is a lot harder at least they can cover there side of the problem...
i would say that there are ways to know if a persons connection died or not... im sure you could look up the persons main server? that would be the isp's server... and if it died same time as the player did well... you konw it was the ISP and not the player just disconnecting
it should be easy enough yes no? i mean you ping player's IP and if it failes ping the players main server im sure that 3/4 times if the ISP screwed up then that server the player is on did as well... support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

In addition to things that've got broken on chaos recently - fix RoF display please. Again it's shown as integer. And this time fitting doesn't help (as it helped in pre-1080 times). Not that it's something new... 18 builds already... Unless you want questions after patching retail like: "why doesn't my <favorite module> give bonus to rof ?" "why is gun x better than gun y when it has smaller requirements"...
There're still very old bugs in game (like completely broken (or illogical, whatever you prefer) market mechanics in buy/bid department....). Are we doomed to live with them forever ? Is there any reason to pointing them out....again ----------------------------------------------------------

How are you supposed to ping someone that is behind a firewall/(masquerade/nat)to see if their connection is up, how much traffic latency wouldn't this make? Hard? Well, if it's so hard to fix their own errors and not fix stuff that is not broken maybe they should have choosen another line of work?
I've seen them talk about cleaning up their code, wtf! How about not coding sloppy in the first place, how about actually planning what exactly they want before doing it so as to not have to fix, and fix and fix to make what they want work?=
Sorry if I am oldschool, but I remember vividly my teacher of programming slapping our heads if we where sloppy about our code. Often code is sloppy if you do not know exactly waht you want, when, why and where. YOu got a vauge idea of what you want and start writing. It usually ends up a small mess, sure it works, but not optimally. á

Edited by: Hippey on 14/09/2003 15:36:14 I just see no mention that these issues I listed are being worked on, yet we have mobile refineries and player owned sentries coming in. That's all fun and great, but the core of the game is broken, and I'm not getting bored because there is nothing to do, I'm getting bored because nothing works right.
P.S. Yes, I realize content coders aren't bug coders, but surely the bug coders are now working on fixing the bugs with the NEW content, when plenty of the old content is still broken.
Oh and I'd like to add that skills are severely fubar.
If you change to another skill while a currently trained skill is under COMPLETION IMMINENT, then the game will display that you got the next level. However, the game itself, still think you have the old level and you are NOT getting the bonuses you should because you didn't REALLY get the next level, though in-game, it shows you did.
Check the character info page on the website and compare it to the in-game display. If you ever forced completion of a skill by training something else when a skill was COMPLETION IMMINENT, you will see you are missing a few levels. ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!

You're right but that could be a problem with the webpage not parsing the skills info correctly.
I'd really like an answer to this one.

It is; the game thinks you need 1414 skill points for a level 2 skill, the webpage thinks you need 1425 points for the level 2 skill. As far as i can tell, other levels are unaffected by this...

No, no patience left.
The Thukker Tribe standing has been going on since beta 6ish. Minmatar Security forces used to shoot people based on Thukker Tribe standing.
That's just one of those bugs that apparently is low priority. Now Thukker Mix Factories have started shooting. I anticipated that and had my corp move all assets out of the single Thukker station we had an office in months ago.

Okay so it won't be coming in the next patch, so what? It still means they're spending time working on it and testing it and fixing the bugs related to it, when the bugs they should get the attention is the ones affecting the game that IS, not the game that WILL be.

I'd like to see you code something from the ground up that doesn't have 'slop' (for lack of a better word). or if thats too hard, name me one game released that has zero bugs or non-sloppy code.

It just doesn't make any sense. Especially when Thukker faction is so easy to lose.
