I have been trying to find a way to cycle between my nine charactes, across three accounts, more easily.
Is there a way to run three separate instances of the launcher? Whether it be opening it multiple times, or maybe saving three launcher shortcuts on the desktop that each open up separate launchers or something? That way I could just log in to my three accounts early in the day, but leave the three launchers open, and be able to logout/login at will between them? :D
Or are there any other ways to do this, really? I am looking for something :O |

Sure.
Just switch to widowed and knock yourself out. You can open as many as your computer can handle.
You can open them all from the same launcher, btw.
Mr Epeen There are 86,400 seconds in a day. You just saved one of them by typing 'u' instead of 'you'.-á Congratulations, dumbass! |

Is there any particular use case you're looking for that isn't covered by just telling the launcher to stay open after it launches the actual client? GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

Its obvious he has many PI alts and wants to keep 3 instances of the launcher open so that he can quickly cycle between them all without having to put his password in 3 times. There really is no reason beyond ::too much effort::.
Oh wait..forgot about falcon alts and cyno alts. He may also want to be able to one man cyno chain quickly, or perform "solo" combat. Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

Being able to switch quickly between multiple characters on multiple accounts would just be nice all around. We're winning the war if it says so on CAOD! -á

This is what I do.
I have installed multiple eve clients in separate folders and each of them has a separate shortcut. Works like a charm Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Labs Factory. Hybrid charges, Projectile ammo, Missiles, Drones, Ships, Need'em? We have'em, at affordable prices. Pop in at our Ammo Shop in sunny Alentene. |

Not launcher I do not think, but you can run as many clients as your PC can handle.
Swap to window mode. Launcher > Log in Act 1 Minimize Client 1 Launcher > Log in Act 2 Minimize Client 2 *Repeat as needed, or until PC starts on Fire*
(When I am feeling particularly interested in spreadsheets I run up to 5 accounts this way, I could do 6 but I don't have 6) |

I prefer my shortcut that instantly logs in and opens my client to the character screen... One for each account. Easiest mode.
Solution: building your custom script to fetch the login token and launch the client.

That would probably be the most ideal scenario haha. I haven o idea how to script or program anything, though, so that is far beyond me!

I was afraid that it might come down to something like this, but I wanted to hope that there was another way. I have a triple monitor setup now, and I think I might just wind up installing three clients, and having a shortcut on each of my three monitors... that opens up the client on that monitor, etc.! Hopefully it works that way, any way... or somehow remembers which monitor to pop up on. Even if it doesn't, having three launchers all logged into the three accounts at a time would still be nice!

Aye, PI is mostly why. Having to swap to each account 3 times a day and input the password nine times a day might not seem like a lot of work, but the whole point of PI with nine characters and day long cycles along with storage capacity for like 30 days of crafted materials was to make it as little work as possible for a good reward :P |

I'm not sure this gets me what I wanted, exactly. My hope was that after the initial login, for each of the accounts, they would remain open and thus I'd be able to relog into the account with a click of a button, you know? Like when you are using the launcher, input username/password, then it has the play button that you click? The launcher sticks on that spot until you close it or go back, so each time you click play you open up the account again. That is what I want, but across three accounts!

Any tips on building such a script? :D I know nothing about script-writing haha. Would it be complicated? |

tl:dr, prolly already said but.
Launcher no, you can only run one launcher at a time. However, you can change the user name and have as many clients as your system can run going at once. I had 6 running recently |

on my desktop I use multiple "installs" using the mklink feature aka each install has its own cache directory and settings and whatnot, but on the HDD they are all in the same folder, so I only have to patch once, and it doesn't take up any extra space (aside from the cache/settings folders). Adding scripts to open up various clients sounds like a great idea, to add on top of that.
although I have found that if you open two "clients" at the same time you can end up with 2 launcher windows open, I just can't figure out which is which without logging in.
it would be really nice if I could just have multiple launchers logged into various accounts open at the same time You can trust me, I have a monocole |
