I have the same problem with flickering/missing UI elements since today's EVE patch. It worked fine before DT. Ubuntu 13.10 with custom linux-3.12.6-avx2 kernel, Intel HD 4600 GFX, Wine 1.6.1. |

Mint 16 - works good on both MATE and Cinnamon. Latest NVIDIA stable driver (9600 GT Overclocked) Kernel 3.11.0-12-generic 8 core AMD @ 3.6 GHZ system 16GB RAM WINE 1.7.11
no idea what I have that is different. Testing on laptop now. Could you tell the exact driver version please? I get it with grep -i "x driver" /var/log/Xorg.0.log in Ubuntu, but not sure if its the same in Mint... Cpt Pugwash wrote:caindlazz wrote:Anyone with
Linux mint 16 Nvidia wine 1.7.11
that is working or not? Mint 16 Nvidia wine 1.7.11 got the same problems as described above Could you please also tell the driver version, so that we can compare to above?

I'm using TwinView and I have the flicker problem. |

I really donGÇÖt think it's driver or OS/Desktop related directly as the test server works fine and Id bet works fine on everyone else no matter what there set-up is.
I believe the problem lies between EVE and wine (where EVE has broken directx etc) |

Nvidia 338.31
and I also have 319.32 like Cpt Pugwash with Mint. The packages name is nvidia-331-updates and its the "highest" one I can see at the package manager.
I just searched around a bit and I believe the name isnt "338.31" but "331.38" thats being the newest driver from january the 13. I'll see if I'm able to install it...

Just wanted to report that changing interval option(I had one, set it to immediate now) changes the flickering considerably. From one to immediate, I can now see my characters there without having to move my mouse around. Background still flickering badly. |

Update: using LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 seems to "fix" the issue.
That is, while there's no flickering with software rendering, it being software kinda exemplifies the rendering part. You can see every frame of it. Not really hard, having 1 fps and all. |

Multiple screen and multiple xservers on multiple GPU (All nvidia) = Flickering on all screens/cards
Single card, two monitors, twinview = Flickering
Single card single monitor = You guessed, flickering! |
