Ishukone Okusaika and Material Acquisitions have announced plans to begin the recovery and salvage of the Shiigeru. Generally, the plans sound reasonable and appropriate, and likewise that some of these materials will see use in the repair of NOH's facility.

It's not really a "facility" per se, it's a giant fungus; and, it doesn't really need to be repaired - it's doing quite well.

And such a lovely memorial it would be, too. Cubic kilometers of burning tritanium, runaway pollution of the atmosphere ground water and soil, heavy metal contamination and radioactive dust strewn across the southern Kaalakiotas, the extinction of a number of local species, climate disruption across the entire planet from the volcanic and tectonic activity begun by the impact, wild fires that wiped out hundreds of square kilometers of Kresh forest, unexploded munitions scattered across half the continent each with a yield powerful enough to leave a large hole where there used to be a city, and a dust and smoke plume that's threatening to start a nuclear winter in the northern hemisphere.
Why yes, that sounds like a delightful tourist destination where we can stand and reflect on tragedy. An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738

Im pretty sure decontamination efforts have been underway for a while. Another year or two of cleaning and reinforcing the structure would make it stable and safe to view.
The calamities you describe occurred shortly after impact. I highly doubt that those hazards exist nearly a year after the battle and subsequent decontamination and containment efforts.
If they do, then Ishukone and/or Mordu's Legion need to get their act together. Watch Fred Fred Frederation and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it! |

I'm sure some parts of the wreck will remain as memorialsites, but that won't be the huge, kilometre-long wreckageparts, those are just too massive to remain. Besides, those contain just too much dangerous stuff still that you don't want risked leaking into the enviroment. Besides, I suspect those large peice"s are hardly stable and would cost just too much to make them stable as Titans are supposed to fly in space, not lie rusting under the gravitational pressure of a planet.
Also, in a way, the rebuilt Qaiian Tower(regional HQ of NOH) will act as a double memorial as it will be rebuilt with salvaged materials from the Shiigeru. A fitting memorial in my view, from the wreckage of a defeat, we build a new future.
It's also good to see a joint Caldari/Gallente operation cleaning this site up, it'll be a boost in relations, providing new future marketopportunities.
Shiigeru wreckage site will be salvaged & cleared in a joint Gallente/Caldari operation. Concord organizes trainingbattle at Yulai |

Particularly if you are an adorable little radiodurans bacteriamesium excreted by a giant metal eating mushroom hydralisk! And then the radiodurans bacteriamesium becomes the gift that keeps on giving when reabsorbed by the giant metal eating mushroom hydralisk, which grows and grows and grows.
Tekojarvi is lovely this time of year.
The warm trunks of the technicolor mushroom monsters keep patches of the lake liquid and even steamy, while the brisk polar breezes compress against the stratospheric fruitcaps and lightly ionize in a dull red glow. I call it St. Gomono's Fire.
It's a pity the CEP never got back to me. The wreck itself would have produced quite a spectacular forest indeed. But I do appreciate Mr. Hakaalen's kind note.

Clearly. As you can see, they have invested quite a bit into their cinder and are now recovering like one would from any fire. The fact they have seen to it in a one directional mindset speaks volumes about how they have survived on it's hostile surface through the ages.

I do wonder at the necessity or purpose of such bravura. It's like watching two drunks at a bar shouting obscenities and threats at each other no doubt thinking they're extremely intimidating but failing to realize everyone else is just laughing into their drinks. |

You answered your own question, darling! I could watch Diana and Lyka all day. It would be worth becoming competent in a space thingie to be in a fleet with the two of them tumbling around the galaxy from one proffered genocide to the next... if not for the extraordinary effort that would be required for me to acquire such competence.
And you know, with respect to Diana's suggestion and Lyka's response, lighting Caldari Prime on fire would at least melt *some* of the ice. I kid, Schere sweetie, I kid.

In the art of negotiation, the value of a threat is found in the capability to execute the threat. Making a bluff while showing the table you don't even have any cards in hand is the epitome of either foolishness or absurdity. As for the lighting of fires, I've only lit them to enjoy the warmth of company and brandy, which I suppose is a far better use than disrespecting the dead on both sides of the present conflict as an empty threat that devalues both their lives and their sacrifices.

Not even the former Executor made call for genocide, neither of the Gallente nor any other race or ethnicity. However, it could be said that it's often the case that the more worthless an opinion, the more it is sought to be claimed that it is indicative of a majority that does not exist by the one making it. |

Odd that there is no mention of materials going back to the Caldari Navy whence they originated. Again, Ishukone has proven through action their contradiction in philosophy and ideology towards the betterment of the State.
I never felt comfortable seeing how close Ishukone snuggled up to the Federation, but after the many years of this protracted Great War, I feel almost sick to my guts each time I witness their candor and collaboration with our enemy. Diplomacy is understandable but not when it works in the favor of the opposition.
