hi I'm starting a new main and life in eve. some career options are here(alright they are basically the same).
A. lv5 empire mission B. lv4 pirate mission C. hopefully a low class WH corp.
pretty sure I can run them all smoothly (SP based). The thing is isk/hour ratio. For 2~4 hours perday, which one is the most profitable?
I've been afk for almost a year. may need some market analysis Thanks you Isk printers. |

lvl 5s only really pay out if you have a good "infrastructure". Sure , people solo them in ishtars or tengus or proteuses (protii? lol) or MJD ravens/domis, i've even seen people do them in Vargurs solo or with a small RR gang of Domis. But the best way to do them i've ever seen is when this corp had POSs in every system near their lvl 5 agent and and used shuttles to travel back and forth and just leave their mission ships in each system
And people who know drop ccarriers on the lvl 5 missions they cherry pick. Long story short, lvl 5sa re good isk but also a lot of hassle solo and in a small gang and great isk if you are willing to invest a lot of time and isk into getting set up to do them efficiently. That's why so few people do them lol.
NPC null sec pirate missions are EXCELLENT , but the challenges are different. They are in null so you will have to contend with bubbles and bombs ( bombs not so much, but I did i see a dude a few months ago drop a bomb near where people undock for the guristas epic are lol) and people trying to camp you in a station. All this can be dealt with though.
Still it can be tedious, getting the loot from the LP store to empire can be a challenge if you don't have a carrier and cyno friends/alts and people will be actively hunting you. While IMO it doesn't take near a much investment as setting up a pro lvl 5 establishment, to do it right, yea it takes some time and isk and knowledge.
I think pirate missions are worth it, but just barely.
For solo work, low end wormholes are boss. You will tke some losses, but if you are smart and watch dscan you are pretty alright.
As for raw isk per hour for 1 guy with 1 ship, I'd give the edge to pirate missions. I usually make around 150 mil an hour using a Tengu in Venal if i mission in the off hours (that figure not including the time It takes me to jump from their to empire than 6 jumps to jita to sell of course, 150 mil an hour is just a 'best case" average and getting chased around venal cuts deeply into that lol.).

oh I missed it thank you, and maybe FW? but the LP they make is simply so easy I think, which may result in a brutal market drifting one day? I'm not sure tho. |

Well. you are an expert indeed. And thanks for the wall of knowledge! XD
I can see lv5 needs a network to be efficient and it maybe beyond me since I just came back. Most friends are lost... Also I wonder if there is anyway to "blitz" the pirate mission?the isk/LP ratio I heard somehow can be 6000?! I have one workable alt and a main so I'll just try B and C together. ;) Thanks again brah. |

Unless something horrible has happened to or tainted your main, don't start a "new" main. That's dumb. Either get an additional main and keep em both training, or just train your main over to whatever you want to do. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"
Never forget. |
