As the title sais: there is currently no incentive to not have as many blue corporations and alliances to have as friends around you. Things get done easier and the cooperative teamwork leads to easier wealth or makes it harder to lose wealth (in all forms (assest, ships, players))
I believe that this eventualy ends un in unhealty situations and affectes the EVE sandbox negativily.
My idea is to taxs the amount of standings a corp or Alliance has. This will balance the RISK vs REWARD aspect in having fiends. This will be ofcourse a deligate balance and could add a entire new fresh sandboxy gameplay.

How would you "tax" standings? "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

I dont know, maybe the amount of friends, something like that; its kinda too speculative to go into detail; for a fair delicate balance i recon some devintell is essential. |

Funny....I thought the benefit to having as few blues as possible was to get more gf's and was not done to avoid something in the game. It actually got you more. Why they hell would want to take that away?
Like to be a massive blue ball have at it. You already get the bene's of that as is now. At least until top guy emo rages. Bobby with Atlas and jsut deciding to pull sov one day, Kartoon with Goons and purging the pubbies a few years back....etc. |

No.
Certain groups of players may benefit from massive blue lists... but a great many do not and prefer NOT to have many blues. The Law is a point of View |

Next up lets tax every player who wants to start a fleet, and tax them for every member of that fleet too.
Wait a minute, who's doing the taxing? Isn't there already a tax to be blue in a lot of regions of space? |

That depends on the details, think of exponentials or minimals/maximals

Exacly the core of the problem. It is very rewarding to be the mayor rent lord and my vision is that this is currenly causing the "almost blue donut". |
