I was pretty stunned when I saw "In a Pale Moonlight" And Sisko's reaction after learning he would have to live with it for the rest of his life (Which is a hell of along time if you saw the ending) And his heated discussion with Quark over it is in my opinion is one of the best if not the best scene in TV history.
DS9 was one of the darkest spin offs I have ever seen. Going from green women to lies, harsh occupation, mass murder, and betrayal.
Sisko is the best captain. Period |

I concur. DS9 was the best Star Trek series, period. On Thanksgiving weekend my family usually watches an entire season of DS9 instead of football . I have the best family ever. This year we are on season 6. Fortunately my new SO also loves it. Life is good. |

To be honest I have never seen a show push the boundaries of morality so far.
If Quark did not kill the Romulans they would have likely joined the dominion and the people of the Federation would likely be enslaved. Yet the romulans on that ship were innocent. And they went to war on a lie. A lie from non other than the Federation.
Was it wrong? How could it be right?
I have never seen a TV show make me think that hard about it.
Also another good question was that of General Green during and after World War III
He was a mass murderer who killed anyone who had a significant exposure to radiation after the nuclear attack from the ECON forces. Yet at that point in the story's history the social system had collapsed and there was virtually no help or hope of reversal of the damage at the time and generations would have been born with deformities.
Yet it was mass murder of the innocent. A little easier to be against him on that one. But it is not cut and clear like ****** or Stalin.
In World War 2 the allies Firebombed entire population centers. Leading to casualties on civilians unlike any other in history. Yet an invasion into say Japan would have resulted in so many casualties that most of their civilization would have been wiped out. Were we right? And is there a time to say "I wasn't there so I cant judge"
It is important that we see things that truly test our morality in my opinion. As without them it becomes far too easy to see things as black and white which led to so much suffering in the past. |

Fixed.
Quark got Stabbed in that episode and that was about it.
