Hey,
I've just started to venture out into 0.0 sec systems, checking for mining options etc and I've decided to have a go at PvP and general 'roid rats. At the moment I'm flying the following:
4 x Heavy Missile Launcher I - Scourge, Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt, Widowmaker (swapped during fights) 1 x Assault Missile Launcher - Bloodclaw
1 x Medium Shield Extender I 1 x Medium Shield Booster I 2 x Invulnerability Field I 1 x Magnetic Scattering Amplifier I
1 x Nanomechanical CPU Enhancer I 1 x Warp Core Stabilizer I
I'm actually looking for suggestions to help improve my current setup, atm I dont have access to any t2 tech due to low skills, but that'll soon change. Any and all setup advice is appreciated, Thanks!

Hear are some set ups for that ship it's under the sticky section of this forum but here are the links: General setup 1: Linkage General setup 2: Linkage PVP antifrig setup: Linkage
I had one for awhile it's a great little ship. If you get the chance I would say go with the tech two version when you can. It's a heavy assult ship with insane resists. I was talking to a pirate once who had one (mind you he had some pretty awesome shield and resist skills trained up) who said he once got through a 4 bs camped gate. 2 caldari 1 amaarr and 1 minmatar. If you like that ship then you should really get the tech to version if you want to PVP (and by PVP I mean become a pirate )

Thanks for the response, tbh I've just tried doing a level 2 mission with that current setup i posted earlier and found that I didnt even last half of what I normally do with shield resistors and Large shield booster I. Don't know why that is, Possibly due to the cap use of the Invulnerability Field. Speaking of them, are they stackable for -50% + -50% or is it punished? There's no actual mention of it in the description of it.

Copied from my post here:
PvE, level 2 missions:
5x assault launcher 2x large shield extender II 1x 10mn AB II 2x hardener 2x BCS
PvE, in any mission where you're mostly against cruisers (like level 3): 5x heavy launcher 2x large shield extender II 3x hardener 1x RCU II + 1x BCS, or 1x RCU + 1x PDU
PvP 5x Heavy Launcher II (With various types of Precision, Fury, and regular ammo--I personally keep at least some EM, explosive, and kinetic with me) 2x Large shield extender II 1x hardener 1x 20km disruptor, 1x x5 webber 1x RCU 2, 1x BCS

With a warp core stabiliser on there, your planning to run away. Put a ballistic control on there.

It wasn't a case of running away, its been a case of me just scouting belts in my caracal and find some very unwanted wannabe pirate warp scramble me, it got to the point where I lost 5 cruisers already so I opted to fit a stab just a make sure that i could at least scout the belt without fear of being disturbed.
