So I'm getting ready to produce my first T2 Gallente assault frigates (a few more skills to go), and I'm comparing the cost of buying construction components off the market in Jita vs manufacturing those components myself. In most cases, it's much cheaper to buy the moon materials in Jita and make the construction components in-house.
However ... the BPO for crystalline carbonide armor plates, for example, says that it produce one item per run, with a manufacturing time of "less than one minute." If that's true, and I need between 500 - 750 of these components alone per ship, that translates into a several hours of gametime spent doing nothing but continuously clicking through the manufacturing UI. Please shoot me now.
This can't be right, can it? Am I seriously expected to sit for hours, clicking through the manufacturing window over and over, producing these component one at a time?
Obviously I'm missing something important. Yet I've spent the last couple days researching the topic and found nothing.
Is there a way to produce these construction components in larger batches per run, with longer manufacturing times?

One item per run don't say 1 item per lines.
When you manufacture it, you just need to put an other amount. In bpc case, max 1000 for exemple. Bpo have no limit |

1 per run just means that evry X sec, you build 1 crystalline carbonide armor plates. It does not mean that you can only build one at a time, per production slot. When you start building, just select build 500 or however many you need. The only limit is, that the total production time can not be longer than 30days. But for an item with a production time of less than 1min, you wont get anywhere near that limit.
Ammo has often 100 pr run, but those you can also set to 500, then you will have 50.000 ammo when production completes. Want to know what is best to mine or build at which cost? then try out Dedaf's Industrial Tool http://dedafsindustrialtool.blogspot.dk/

Most items in game produce one item per run. Ammunition and POS fuel are two major exceptions to this. |

One run can produce N items. The number of items produced depends on the BPO; you cannot change this.
Some BPO produce 1 item per run [Charon freighter], other 40 items per run [fuel blocks].
However, you can create a job with as many runs as can be manufactured in 30 days, with a minimum of 1 run even if it takes longer than 30 days. |
