Mine if you can stomach it or work your way through missions buddy.
When I finally started lvl 3 missions I was able to quickly save up for my Battleship.

Level 1 missions won't spawn anything close to a 70k rat. Level 1 missions are made (in most cases) to be done OOB by most newbies with low skill points. I'd suggest finding a level 1 security/internal security/command agent with high quality and start working with him.

ok, train your drone skills up... Whilst your doing that, mine some Scord, or Kern/Omber if you can find it, until you have enough to get yourself a Vexor, then with your new drone skills you can start to kick ass Also ask your corp mates if you can tag along on some missions with them, i'm sure they would be happy to let you

Ok you may need to look at your ship and modules. What region do you fly in? I'd be more than happy to fly with you and get you moving along. Often a little helping hand is all you need.

get your corp mates to help you on missions - although you should be able to do them solo ;)

Also, your in a pretty big corp which can sometimes be a little unfriendly (not saying yours is or isnt). You could look at joining a smaller corp with members in your time zone and get some 1 on 1 help.
Again, lots of suggestions - good luck with your gaming :)

Its only a little more exciting than mining, but trading is a good, safe way to make money.

Running missions makes steady ISK, plus the occasional OMG! piece of loot worth big bucks. And, it beats the heck out of shooting rocks.

Edited by: Eternal Fury on 10/04/2006 15:45:37 Yup. missions. i'm making about 2 mill per mission average with lvl 3's, mainly from the drops.
and i've only got 1.5Mill SP.
demand is greater then supply = high price.
supply is greater then demand = low price.

So don't specialize in combat missions...there are plenty of agents that hand out mostly FedEx type missions. As long as they don't take you through low sec space, they're a pretty easy way to make money...just kinda boring. -------------------------------------------------------------------

What are you flying? Are you using rails or blasters? Someone with 2.7 mil should be able to take out a 70ker without much problem. Learning how to NPC hunt from other players sounds like a good idea.

Nyou shouldn't use the total SP amount as a guide, if you look you can see that: * Over 1 million of that is invested in Learning... * A mere 6k in engineering and * 13k in electronics.....
Compare with me at 3.1mil SP:
5 Drones skills trained, for a total of 67,691 skillPoints. 6 Electronics skills trained, for a total of 16,876 skillPoints. 9 Engineering skills trained, for a total of 136,570 skillPoints. 10 Gunnery skills trained, for a total of 339,664 skillPoints. 5 Learning skills trained, for a total of 579,471 skillPoints. 4 Mechanic skills trained, for a total of 32,500 skillPoints. 7 Missile Launcher Operation skills trained, for a total of 182,422 skillPoints. 7 Navigation skills trained, for a total of 535,415 skillPoints. 2 Science skills trained, for a total of 8,750 skillPoints 2 Social skills trained, for a total of 8,008 skillPoints. 11 Spaceship Command skills trained, for a total of 1,188,462 skillPoints
Int 12 Per 15 Cha 6 Wil 15 Mem 11
Anyway... it looks to me like you are seriously lacking in your Engineering - look at investing here - its full of skills which will increase your grid and cap.
Start wearing purple for me now

And remember what to tank for- EW/Explosive armoror shield hardeners when facing Serpentis rats won't do you much good for example. Believe me, I know
(PS: In my experience, the hull upgrades skill is holy holy hooooooly! )

we have a very nice ever so polite flyer who flies a rifter where we npc rat in 0.0.......every time he/she shows in local she will ask us if we mind her picking up the cans we leave of which theres a lot she never kills anything but just makes money from the odd good loot she gets and melts the rest she makes a fortune at this and at the same time keeps all the belts clean of cans....you just need to be more creative in the ways of making isk

Set up a recon bureau and contact corporations asking them if they need any systems in perticular bookmarked for future warfare, routes mapped in general or just the lowdown on certain pilots you can follow around.
Might not be your cup of lard though.
