The Lady And Her Red Lycanthropic Slaver Puppy
Now, Diana, dear, in contrast to Synthia's magnificent statue, here the lady is indeed clothed. Different tablets of expression. The sculpture's nudity - though it caused you some distress - serves to project its power; here, vestments serve as an evocation of economic caste.

One of the enduring qualities of the Amarr is the pursuit of the arts. In contrast to the near endless variety of Gallentean arts steeped in individualistic expression, Amarrian art often features themes of subjugation, even if subtly. Obvious examples abound as one can easily point to numerous works of art where slaves are expressly present in the material and not merely implied.
However, there is a unique niche in the history of Amarrian art for what is known as "sympathetic direction." Now let me be clear, I am no trained art historian, nor do I make any claims to be an authority on the Amarrian nor the arts of my people. I am simply a hobbyist, or perhaps more appropriately a learned connoisseur. We must clarify though that the unlike most genre defining mechanics in art, the terminology involved in sympathetic direction has little to do with the method or technique of the artist. The agreeable definition has everything to do with a generally accepted interpretation of the artists intentions, which makes this genre uniquely Amarrian. The vivid painting that Mademoiselle Noh exhibits here is a piece which I would arguably say does not fall into this category and would be an accepted piece of contemporary Amarrian work.
To me, this colorful and vibrant work evokes feelings of affection and protection. The female figure enshrouded by the dark figure, the slaver hound. The long tool strokes and bold brush motions upon the medium give impressions of strength while contributing to the overall obfuscation and mystery of the figure. It is truly an appealing work of art which at auction could be fetching, I do believe.

I don't know much about art but I know what I like and I absolutely hate this painting.
The best thing about it is that you can't tell who it is meant to be.
Although having said that, the ugliness of the piece does capture some of the essence of Vitalia. Dulce et decorum est pro imperium mori. |

Oh, Eran, you are too kind, darling, I wouldn't dream of charging you, oh heavens no. If there is a subject that you would like explored, I would be delighted to give it a rendering, sweetie!
And the suave Federation spy!
I knew I was going to positively adore you, particularly at the word "spy." Even your friendship with that... um, ca femme Sebiestor... only adds another facet to your charm. Art is indeed an important component of Amarrian society. Why, sometimes it feels as if the Faith has been hoarding works of art for, oh I don't know, thirty thousand years or thereabouts.
When I was wearing Ochre, sometime back a few years, there was this new civilization on the horizon, and it possessed many New Ideas orthogonal to our own. Though I was able to spend most of my days behind a desk closely examining body scan feeds of Brutor passing through travel checkpoints, or coordinating the occasional pedestrian disappearance, one task I assigned myself was to consider how the Empire might inoculate itself against some of those New Ideas by encouraging young Amarrian artists to extend styles gleaned from hoarded ecclesiastical masterpieces to a more spiritual Nouveau Artistic Expression.
Now that True Slavery has more than returned its debt of antique furniture to the departed Domina, it is particularly inexcusable that I have not finished one of my own such adaptations, placing Utopia between a gilded ibis and an elongated naked cherub's round bottom. At the moment, I am somewhat indisposed, however, having gotten myself lost in the catacombs beneath the Domina's domain....
But look at what Art has accomplished right here!
It has brought together such divergent paths! A cybernetic assimiliationist, a... um... cute little Sebbie I don't think I've seen before who has been... assimilated? Yes, and an ancient member of Her Majesty's ancient guard. Why few things could warm the Domina's black little heart as she looks down upon the tableau from above or maybe up from below than the major admiral general's disapproval!
Perhaps tying such lonely threads together is my True Calling.
I should setup a little parlor somewhere with paintings on the walls and Inatooki underwear models serving hard little Amarrian tea cookies... yes, yes! We could identify a topic, like, "The baroque abstract romantic impressionism of Mid Late Nouvelle Rouvenor was an inevitable, and immensely profitable, reaction to straight line nihilism." Discuss!

Ms. Noh, despite your bizarre fantasies, you do seem quite adept in the fields of art and history. We should talk over tea some time, perhaps on my show even, though please leave your bunny boys at the door. Watch Fred Fred Frederation and stop cryptozoologist! It would be a delight to discuss history and art with you, darling. And not to worry, I understand that the boys are a bit too intensely Amarrian an experience for consumption beyond the Empire's borders.

Oh, it would be delightful to have your company, Terenius darling!
Naturally, once again I forgot to setup my art parlor in anticipation of such an event, even after having been directly asked about it by Evi, and even after I specifically said "I should set up my art parlor...."
I believe we got distracted by someone who wanted to weaponize giant mushrooms and use them to destroy Jita. Which I'm all for. No, it would not be an attack on the State, but rather a surgical procedure to remove a bloated life sucking tumor. Where was I?
