From the posts, I think that my favorite at the moment is the Naga, even though the ISK/dps is higher than some others. It can hit cruisers at range hard in the right situations and the dps is high without the cost being very high. "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." If you like the Naga, you might also take a look at the Oracle. It's price point is similar to the Naga, and it's capable of much higher DPS (900+DPS at 40 km in a full T2 gank fit, w/faction ammo). Also, if not using faction ammo, it has no ongoing ammo cost. |

The difference between the Nado and Naga will be:
Nado Alpha strike. 1st shot is near 10,000 damage Capless weapons system Not sure of the Naga fall off, Nado is near 95 km. Nado is faster Nado has 1 more bottom slot, for damage mod, tracking mod, damage control, etc. Nado has selectable damage types
Both should shield tank. I think the Naga will tank better. It has less *base* HP, but more base in shields and more mid slots. 425's have slightly better tracking
I personally would pick the faster, capless, alpha Nado, as my *all purpose* *cheap DPS* ship. But I know how I would fit both of these for my taste. I might even consider stepping the guns down, to 1200's and 350's, for better tracking and faster ROF. Just my style.
The argument can be made, that better tank is worth the investment. These ships basically tank like a cruiser. 100 mil more and you could mount those guns on a BS hull, and tank for 10 times longer. (and get a drone bay) So 'isk efficiency' has multiple levels of value/meaning. |

If you are considering things in the Attack Battlecruiser cost range, then you should consider the Exequror Navy Issue instead.
The ENI has a double damage bonus. Better gun resolution, faster, agile. Sexy camo pattern. Giantfrakingenginedoohickies on the back. With the difference in gun prices, they should cost the same amount fit (far cheaper if you are an FW character!). You will also have medium guns with much better tracking. Honestly a 4 slot tank on this is overkill, but dems the rules I guess. If you drop an invuln, you can add a tracking computer or target painter for even better damage application. Price approx 108M with fittings.
Optimal Range @ 39,373k with Fed Navy Thorium.
580 dps total@ 40k. 481 gun dps, 99 drone dps unheated
665 dps total @40k. 566 gun dps, 99 drone dps with heat.
For ***** and giggles:
With spike, optimal range @ 80k (only 60k targeting range though)
471 dps total @ 57k. 372 Gun dps. 99 drone dps without heat.
537 dps total @57k. 438 gun dps. 99 drone dps with heat.

FOr ***** and Giggles... 1039Dps Without Implants.. My EFT shows only 699 dps at 18 km optimal. With 43 km optimal (Iridium), the dps sits at 481 (Gardes are 180 dps so DDA doesn't make the most sense). I wonder what the cost works up to here. Maybe 150 mil? All V without drones 733 DPS at 18+23 km with faction antimatter All V without drones 428 DPS at 43+23 km with faction Iridium
Even when you open the EFT Damage graph you get ~760 DPS at 40km with Faction Antimatter and Drones or 677 without Garde IIs
How old is your EFT? We are at 2.22.1 right now. 97% of girls would die if Justin Bieber were about to jump off a cliff. Post this in your sig if you`re part of the 3% yelling,

DPS/ISK is a pretty simplistic metric. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

There is apparently a difference in hybrid damage calculations between EFT on one side and Pyfa, Osmium and EveHQ. I dont know which of the two sets is right. Not sure if it is just for 250 rails or what. I'm probably typing on an iPad, which means the auto-correct is silly and fixing typos is a pain. I ain't fixing them. |

Strange...
But since Pyfa is the only one with this "bug" I would blame it for beeing wrong.

its possible that one is accounting for the possibility of critical hits while the other is not. The result is that at 0% falloff you're actually at like 103% of theoretical dps, with theoretical dps defined as (ammo damage)*(weapon damage modifier) / (cycle time). 100% falloff is slightly under 50% of that theoretical dps. Looking at the T3 BCs, it seems that they really struggle to track frigates without AB/MWD doing even modest transversal. Oracle can push over 650 dps past 75km where the range really helps with tracking frigates (as low as 150 dps with velocity alignment at range).
