Seeing as its working fine again and i see nothing wrong on the server, guess it may have just been a temporary outage

Try going to the command prompt and type: ipconfig /flushdns
I believe that will work on 2k and that will force your computer to look up the IP address for the domain. If your system is for some reason using an obsolete IP address that could cause the apparant "outage."
Hope that helps!!!!

Edited by: Snake Jankins on 17/04/2006 10:31:04 I can connect via the url www.fluidorbit.co.uk But not, if I enter the IP http://216.127.66.87. Then I land on an unconfigured website.
The IP seems to be correct. Not only, that it's the result of a ping and a nameserver lookup, it's also definitely the server that sends the correct webpages and it uses standard http port 80, when I connect to www.fluidorbit.co.uk. I've done a tcpdump. Wonder what's the reason for it. Maybe some network technician can explain what's going on. ___________ 'Only ships can be assembled, this is a Frigate.' |

Whilst this purely academic at this point... to my knowledge there is no Firefox 1.7. Are you sure you don't mean the buggy 1.07? -----

Yea is 1.07. Lets say that is buggy to hell. Is buggy only for fluidorbit and not for ANY OTHER address? I really dont know what happened but i have this problem the last 3-4 days. Im using the 1.07 more than a month. Also im using the same version at work. I can connect from work but at fluidorbit but not at home. I really have no idea what caused that trouble. All i know that it started suddenly.

sounds like your ISP has blacklisted them or their server provider has blacklisted you... -----

The site might have blacklisted your ISP for some reason. Mail them and ask.
