Sounds too much like Phantasm which is a Sansha ship. Sansha's ships follow a 'horror' theme such as the Phantasm, Succubus, Nightmare, ect. Doesn't really fit an empire naming scheme, though. ___________________________________

Maelstrom is a brilliant name for the next Matari BS; it sounds sweet and fits perfectly with the other two BSs. Torrent is also a very good suggestion.
Caldari is hard... Viper is alright; I think Roc, Pegasus, and Icarus are pretty cool, too.
For the Amarr BS, there's a name that fits perfectly... Annihilation.
Finally, Gallante... Gallante BSs are unique relative to other Gallante ships in that they don't really have the mythological theme going on. Regardless, Hyperion and Phobos are by far my favorites, if only because they sound badass.

Check these out
Caldari Names: Halcyon - A fabled bird, identified with the kingfisher, that was supposed to have had the power to calm the wind and the waves while it nested on the sea during the winter solstice. Keeps with the Greek and Birdie theme
Gyrfalcon - A bird and stuff that inhabits A large chunk of the globe.
Stymphalian - Fierce and deadly man-eating birds with feathers made of iron.
yeah those are my idea's for names and such. Roc = stupid

Sigma,
personal favorites so far:
Minmatar: Hurricaine
(Torrent? Come on, like in "There will be a slight torrential shower in the afternoon"?)
Caldari: Nightingale
Strikes me funnily proper. I bet those guns will sing! I still think "Roc" is too mythic for a battleship and should stay reserved for future T2 use.
Gallente: Hyperion
Ammar: Annihilation
Damn I'd open a betting pool, but I couldn't keep the bloody Dev alts from cheating!

@Nightingale - too wimpy
Roc is the proper mythos name for Rook... which is already in the game. So that won't show up anytime soon.
Quote: Gallente: Hyperion
Yes I think we can all live with that.

Well so are Typhoon and Tempest to a degree. At least it doesn't start with "T" (like Tornado).

Well a Raven isn't all that mighty either. Anything bigger than that and not yet in game? Besides, size doesn't matter. Honestly.

A single one would be worse.
6 years back people frequently misspelled things "centennial", from greek for related to 100 years.
"Centenial", well let's just say that it shares roots with certain anatomical parts.
Of course "Annihilation" is a bit trickier: "nihil" means "nothing", and the "a-" prefix probably means "towards". (here my greek fades). I think it's usualy that a single "a-" prefix will double the next vowel.
"Towards nothing" isn't so bad.

Since when have you ever heard "there will be a slight torrential shower in the afternoon"?!
WTF... the sentence doesnt even make any sense! How can you have a "slight torrent" "oh its a torrent... but its just an ickle one." "oh dont worry about that dear, its only a slight torrent".
What the heck?!
more likely to hear "Chance of torrential rain" not "chance of a slight torrent" wtf. :D lol

TBH, if you're looking to name the Caldari one according to the Intel schema rather than the AMD one*, I think there are better choices than "Nightingale". To throw some out at random: Jackdaw, Magpie, Gannet, Shearwater, Loon (ah, go on...), Bittern, Kite, Rail (ya rly), Nightjar (actually not a bad one), Kingfisher, Hornbill (again pretty fitting), Sparrow (ironic) etc - and that's just classes of birds.
* The P4 was the Williamette, the A64 was the Clawhammer. AMD clearly have the more "badass" name, but the Intel one sounds like it has less to prove. I think this could be a cool angle here for the Caldari - rather than trying to go for the biggest, baddest bird you can think of, go for something classy and understated.

Urm right, I looked it up and have to concede the point. It's my bad memory. I thought it had a "slight" in it, but it doesn't:
[quote Douglas Adams] Since he had left Denmark the previous afternoon, he had been through types 33 (light *****ing drizzle which made the roads slippery), 39 ( heavy spotting), 47 to 51 (vertical light drizzle through to sharply slanting light to moderate drizzle freshening), 87 and 88 (two finely distinguished varieties of vertical torrential downpour), 100 (post-downpour squalling, cold), all the seastorm types between 192 and 213 at once, 123, 124, 126, 127 (mild and intermediate cold gusting, regular and syncopated cab-drumming), 11 (breezy droplets), and now his least favourite of all, 17.
My bad and oh all right, if they're gonna call it torrent I'll just name it Bit or something.

Tsunami or Torrent for Minmatar. Tornado and Twister are corny for space ship names. Maelstrom is a really good name, but it doesn't start with a T. It could be a tech 1 tier 2 BC though.
For Amarr, Annihiliator is good.
Caldari tier 3 battleship, in keeping tradition with its predatory bird names, I dub thee Ostrich
Gallente has two names that make their battleships sound mean and big. Dominix and megathron. I suggest Teramortis.
