I don't know what sorcery is used, but apparently this image always shows the (approximately) correct time: Now
Really useful when you can't be bothered to ask Google "what time is it in Belize?"
(Warranty void if printed or screenshotted.)

I'm left with the impression that you've never had to comprehend the numerous timezones which a far-flung alliance has. Which is kinda where I was going with that OP, but I'll admit that on reflection I was a bit too vague.

It uses the sorcery of being a different picture each time based on when you click it.
For example now it's called 10h30m.png
Which is the approximate GMT time.
I assume in ten minutes it will be 10h45m.png
Consider yourself enlightened. ISK Donations accepted. I just undocked for the first time and someone challenged me to a duel. Wat do?

10:30 GMT? You *do* realize that you're off by about 12 hours, right? 22:30 GMT.
Which aptly demonstrates why something so maddeningly simple as "time of day" is so frustratingly difficult to get right!

There is no GMT anymore. Its a historical oddity that was based on astronomical observations.
The standard time used in aviation, the military etc has been an atomic based system called "UTC" since back in the 70's.

Quote:In Windows 8 (other versions are similar):
1. Click on the time at the bottom right. 2. Click on "Change date and time settings..." 3. Click on the tab "Additional Clocks". 4. Check the box "Show this clock". 5. Set "Select time zone:" to "(UTC) Coordinated Universal Time". 6. Set "Enter display name:" to "EVE" 7. Click "OK".
To see EVE time, click on the time at the bottom right. Two clock faces appear now, one with EVE time.
Unlike UTC, true GMT is an oddity in that it isn't defined for sub-second resolution, and it doesn't honour leap seconds (it can't go backwards, only forwards), but nearly every implementation that uses GMT ignores those facts.
Eastern Standard Time: UTC - 5 Eastern Daylight Time: UTC - 4 TY
