Claude Adoudel wrote:-The recording begins, starting with the opening sequence of Duripant Regional News; the anchor frowns slightly as he reads the teleprompter-
GÇ£A new development in the recent attack on FIO headquarters has come to light. We have received police footage of the aftermath of the attack from an anonymous source; I must warn viewers that they may find some images disturbingGÇ¥ GÇôThe news feed switches to an image from a police gun-camera. The officer moves down the corridor, the light from his helmet mounted flashlight illuminating sections of the dark corridor; staff lay about, devoid of any obvious wounds. A shout can be heard GÇ£Get a Medic to those casualties.GÇ¥ The officer continues onwards, opening a locked door with a key card and continuing down a flight of stairs, he passes a number of bodies on the way, again with no clear injuries. Upon reaching the bottom of the flight of stairs the officer moves through the door, down a corridor that remains brightly lit despite the power outage in the rest of the building. He moves to a door at the end, sliding his key card through the slot. The image is occluded by the wall as he submits to a retinal scan. The door slides open and he moves inside a large server room, a number of bodies lay around, theyGÇÖre dressed in scout dropsuits and all have the same injury, clearly a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. A voice comes from off camera GÇ£Sir, the servers are burnt out, we donGÇÖt know what..GÇ¥
The recording ends and the feed returns to the newsroom, the anchor opens to speak but is cut off, an eagle behind a background of inverted federal flag, it speaks with a distinctly Amarrian accent. GÇ£Ladies and Gentlemen, let me invite you to an auction. Names have a great power.GÇ¥
-The news feed returns, showing an incredibly worried anchor GÇ£Get the feed back! Damnit, cut to commercials!-
-End of recording-
Ahh, there's nothing better than see so many gallentean dead bodies. Really exciting sight! Thank you. |

Whoever did this, I wouldn't want to **** with them.
I remember seeing that building when I was growing up, this giant monolithic reminder to be good little boys and girls.. it's weird to see the particular slice of hell I grew up in get so much interstellar attention.
I don't buy the Amarrian angle, probably just a red herring and from that video wouldn't assume that all those people are dead. They have no obvious injuries; if the terrorists had gone in guns blazing... well, there'd be bits of former FIO staff everywhere.

The whole Amarrian accent bit might be a weak attempt at implicating the Empire, but I'm somewhat thinking 'wait and see' right now. Names and an auction gets me thinking their goal was a list, not a man, as the primary.
Off the deep end, the two could be two seperate organizations. One who bought a name, and the other who has a few more to sell after their sales pitch was made by the former. |

I find the various theories regarding this attack here on IGS very interesting, and I'm learning much to say the least. However I would be hard pressed to say that any one of these theories is 100% correct. As all seem to be based on ones own knowledge to what extent that may or may not be, as well as a good reading of open source information.
With that said, I think we should all keep in mind that the reach of The Federal Intelligence Office is far greater than that of most capsuleers. Their own investigation into this matter will likely exhaust all SIGINT, HUMINT, as well as open and closed sources.
My personal opinion regarding this matter will continue to be shaped as more information becomes available.

Maybe they were after the Operation Highlander document, and this group are looking to profit from the names of several high-level megacorp executives that had been compromised but were not named in the leak. |

What makes you think it's Blaque's boys? Kinda smells of a conspiracy theory to me.
We should look more into the feather, a white feather is often used as a sign of cowardice in Duripant, a little quirk of our subculture; makes me think it was more personal than we're thinking?

It kind of reminds me of those matari rights protests in the Federation we had a couple of months ago... You know, maybe the protests from a couple months ago matured into raw terrorism now?

Whomever did this, did a huge service to the whole Humanity. The only justice that is left to bring, is to slaughter remaining Gallentean officials. I would likely serve as a bodyguard to those, who did it, believe it. |
