My virus scanner removed EVE Nexus right after I unpacked it because it was 'likely to contain or cause a security threat'. Has this happened to anyone else before? You know who's going to inherit New Eden? Arms dealers. Because everyone else is too busy killing each other. |

what is "eve nexus?"
EDIT: Never mind, i thought from the title this was about the actual Eve installer. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"
Never forget. |

Thank you for moving the thread, ISD Tyrozan.
Since quite a lot of players claim to use EVE Nexus I hope it's just a false positive. How can I be sure?
This is more info on why Norton deleted the installer:
WS.Reputation.1
Updated: February 15, 2012 3:15:47 PM Type: Other Risk Impact: High Systems Affected: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000 Behavior WS.Reputation.1 is a detection for files that have a low reputation score based on analyzing data from SymantecGÇÖs community of users and therefore are likely to be security risks. Detections of this type are based on SymantecGÇÖs reputation-based security technology. Because this detection is based on a reputation score, it does not represent a specific class of threat like adware or spyware, but instead applies to all threat categories.
The reputation-based system uses "the wisdom of crowds" (SymantecGÇÖs tens of millions of end users) connected to cloud-based intelligence to compute a reputation score for an application, and in the process identify malicious software in an entirely new way beyond traditional signatures and behavior-based detection techniques.
