Hey guys, Im a member of a relatively noobish corp in empire. Recently we were war dec'd by a group of experienced PVPers who have been making our life a freakin misery, an exciting misery, but a misery all the same. It is quite obvious that these guys are in this war for no particular reason but to smoke some noobs, a distinct lack of competitive spirit i might add. On to my question... How the hell do we deal with them? Its making corp life sour as people have just scattered in the winds in an attempt to escape inevitable podding. This war is likely to continue ad-infinitum, so how do we convince them to **** off?!
Cheers, Mal

Not in any specific order of preference.
1. Hire mercs to kill them. 2. Move your home base. 3. Spread your corp out all over the map until they cancel the war having no targets. 4. Fight back.
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. |

corp wars are a part of game mechanics, it sucks to be in the wrong end of it though.

Play Oblivion for a week and they should go away.
OR...
Mass produce Rifters & Kestrels. Meet them head on. Try to isolate them and then overwhelm them. Stomp thier guts out. Be nice and cheerful in local, even when they kill you. That always makes people angry. -

Fighting Back : Guide to Corporation Defense
Should get you on the right page if you're willing to understand the reasons for this, and to fight back (already had a couple corps tell me how they're on the offensive with the bullys camped into a station, so I guess that means it works).
Good Luck =)

Sounds a bit of a stitch up if you did not provoke their actions.
Email the CEO and ask why you have been war decced, and wether they could stop.
Maybe disband the corp and reform or just get you and your guys to join a bigger corp.

In my opinion, weak corps must die.
Somebody has to clean up the trash, for the benefit of evolution. Adapt or die.

If they war dec'd you because you are a newbie corp with no real interest in PVP beyond the odd friendly dual then the last thing they will expect is for you to coordinate a defensive and fight back.
Never underestimate what a squad of newbies in frigates can do :) |

Get together with some other corps that they have ****ed off and camp the stations they dock at. They'll soon lose interest. -----------------------------------------------

The best thing you have in eve is friends. It costs them onyl 2mil per week to wardec you. It costs YOU only 2mil per week per corp to hire other people to wardec them. So get 30-40 small corps that don't even live in your area of space to wardec them and stay out of the way while you evemail them and tell them you hav ethem outnumbered and they'd better find someone else to pick on :).
If they're just looking for a fight, that probably won't work. It may work sometimes if they're only after hauler ganks, though. Let me live my little dream ^^;.

warcost multiplies with the number of wars the target has iirc.

anyone in your corp have skills old alts? could allways try and get a mole into the enemy corp. find their movements, camp the right gates, dispatch raiding parties on their miners(even a pvp corp worth its salt will have an industrial wing), clean out corp hangers in areas near where they pvp you.......

I believe that your corp was asked to pay small fee in order to avoid the whole war.
Quite simple and cost effective solution to your problem.

TBH, the best way is to simply move somewhere else. Sure, they can use location agents and all that but they'll grow real bored after a while.
An other tip for this to work better is to add as many of them as you know to your address book, then when someone with a green dot enters local you just run away to a SS and keep changing SS's so you can't be probed. Keep doing that, while keeping up with the relocations and they'll leave you alone for sure.

I suggest hiring a mercenary corporation to stiffen your PVP backbone. If that doesn't work, see if a few experienced players can act as fleet commanders or trainers for your characters. ECM modules can be an excellent equalizer as well.
Running away from conflict is a valid tactic. My suggestion is that you leave as a corporation and find a small, out-of-the-way area to work in.
Joining another, larger or more experienced corporation / alliance is another possibility. So is disbanding the corporation and reforming it once the pirates lose interest. _______________________________________________

Get a new ceo with backbone who logs on every once in a while, and i believe the corp that war dec'd you has 8 members you have 41 why not go out in force
Failing that i guess they will get bored in next 10 minutes because your not worth the hassle

Aye, Kaeten just chooses the first corp he sees - then forces me to do all the research on them . I'm as much a victim as Malverious

They did give this a go to be fair to them, and they put up a good fight too. I just wish they continued in that vein rather than giving up

Just creat a new corp and everybody join that corp. You can switch between the 2 corp when war dec is upon you. Pretty simply reall. They will have to keep guessw which corp you guys belong to. Or, just all take break from game for like a week or two. They will get bored waiting soon enough.
