CCP has eliminated BPOs from Dust, with the exception of the BPOs that are available from (1) the EVE Second Decade Collector's Edition; and (2) the recruitment program. BPOs are a big deal in Dust, because they provide mercenaries with an infinite supply of the blueprint item, thereby freeing up ISK for other investments.
For those of you who haven't already started playing Dust, it is possible for you to receive a Recruit Assault Rifle BPO by establishing your account using the following link: https://dust514.com/recruit/tC0vC6/ . As you play, you will accrue "warpoints", and when you hit 25,000 and 100,000 warpoints, respectively, you will earn a Recruit Submachinegun BPO and a Recruit Militia Dropsuit BPO.
So why I am I posting this? Beyond my interest in getting others into Dust, I will receive a Dust BPO each time a player who establishes an account using my link reaches 100,000 warpoints. As such, I am offering one PLEX to the first recruit who achieves 100,000 warpoints using my link and who then announces that achievement in this thread.
So, for those of you haven't done so already, give Dust a shot - using my link will allow you to access rare BPOs, and you may end up with a PLEX as well! |

I still have BPOs and a lot of them. When the market opens up I will be selling them for a ridiculous amount of ISK. I dont know where you got that information from.
However please keep the myth about BPOs able to large amounts of ISK a myth please.

See this is mentatility that needs to be changed around here;- what is better saving hundreds of ISK or making thousands of ISK?
If I told you I make a profit of 3 million ISK every 3-4 hours on Dust without using BPO's or loltanks or red line sniping and without proto stomping;- would you believe it? |

Yeah. I hear afking is quite profitable.

I don't use anything else actually. I still come out in the top 3 most matches. Not that hard in caldari FW though. But my support skills are good enough. |

Yeah - if you're skilled into the equipment and are reasonably competent at shooters, BPOs are fine. There's really no need to dump a bunch of ISK on proto gear. |

LOL. AFKing was profitable. I made over 6 million ISK last night in under 4 hours. If you understand CCPs logic you how the loot is divided you will make a lot of ISK.
And no I am not sharing my secret wiff you

BPOs are all you need for regular play and for FW. PC is another matter. But most people don't play PC. |

I lose some fittings worth maybe 10k each. (They would be cheaper, but I want to use the complex damage modifier to make up for not using a proto weapon). And as salvage I get Gallente Proto Gear. The profit comes when the market comes. I'll be rich! |

Ah gotcha. The frogs do try really hard in their full proto suits. I wish the open market comes out soon man. But with CCP Shanghai who knows. Maybe they will annouce it at the fanfest. Godspeed! |

Eva bad philosophies are bad. If you want to do reasonably well in pubs you need to have atleast an advance suit. If you are getting stomped that hard sit back in the red line and snipe.
But please dont say BPOs are all you need for regular play. I just promotes bad play. The lowest DPS of any gun is 370. If people run BPOs that max they can get with all skills up to level 5 (except with a heavy) is 456.5

Honestly, you can often get a really nice combination utilizing a BPO suit, advanced weapons, proto highs, and militia fitting modules in the lows. It's relatively cheap and affordable, fits decently, etc. I try and keep my usual pub fit pretty cheap, but the militia/BPO weapons are really crippling. |

Sure! Please dont confuse BPOs with Militia weapons. This is another reason why you should stick to meta and stay away from giving advice.
To the OP: Militia and BPO weapons are TOTALLY different. All BPO weapons except for the Militia Shotgun are Basic Weapons. The militia Shotgun Weapon is the only BPO that is actually a Militia weapon.
Militia weapons have a stealth accuracy buff. They are actually more accurate than the basic level weapons. To prove my point you can try this out;- Create 2 outfits one with a Militia Weapon and one with a standard level. Spawn in the back and pick any target for example a supply depot. Now without scoping or aiming down the sight fire your weapon in full auto mode. What you will observe is that the Militia weapons have a better accuracy rating than a standard weapon.
My advice is DONOT listen to Crasniya. He really doesnt have a clue what's going on. |

Anything shy of an advanced weapon is pretty crippling, which is why I classed militia/BPOs the same. Unfortunately, Archibald is simply going to give you contrary statements to anything I say, because he has no other way to make himself feel better. |

Actually any militia weapon with proficiency up to level 3 and ammo up to level 3 or 4 is way better than any advanced weapon. the only weapon to this exception is the GEK 38.
But sure Mr CPM Wannabe who really thinks what he is talking about knows better about the game. Keep focusing on metaing and scamming on a game that really requires it. |

I've just read an article stating that CCP, at Fan fest, promised that both character names and assets will be transferred from Dust to Legion upon the latter's launch. Does anyone know if the transfer will include BPOs? |

It looks like there are, however, plans to transfer applicable character skills. I have updated my OP accordingly. |
