It's not about YOU and what you consider important. It's about wormhole space and what we all feel needs to be done. I don't care about your opinions. The csm is OUR voice. Not yours "Wormhole corps are like a bunch of homeschooled kids" |

I dunno. I want my CSM to have an opinion of their own. If it differs than some others, it's a prefect chance for a healthy debate.

I have to agree with Bane, Dmitry. Honestly, as a voter, I wanted to know what my representatives' views and opinions were regarding different things, and as a candidate, people should expect me to share my opinion aswell. I will endeavor to represent the overall community, but it is always helpful to share your own views and thoughts, and engage the community in discussion when it is appropriate.
It is extremely helpful for a voter to know how I view an issue, feature, or idea. This will help them know if our perspective is aligned, or if they need to chat with me about something. That is a very reasonable expectation that representatives should share their opinion and be willing to discuss with their constituency and communities. I don't disagree with you, but that is my opinion of what a representative should do... The problem with this is normally if you shout and scream at them they just ignore everything you say after a while. It's much easier to just show them whats wrong with an idea, normally using a extreme case of how you'd abuse there idea.
In alot of cases CSM wont get to discuss stuff with player base so you'll have to rely on us to voice your concerns
Dmitry Wizard wrote:corbexx wrote:I'll post more later, as out for meal now. But pretty sure it should be me as you share our sister system. Do you promise to fight for our delayed sigs and a pos revamp?
Pos revamp is coming and yes I'll keep pushing for that. The delayed sig when rolling as I have said in the thread I think is to much. There needs a counter to stuff and if your out scanning for sigs you should see them appear. I'd like it to go back to how it used to be.
As for why me in general. I have great wormhole knowledge, including the t3 production side. I am passionate about wormholes. I've got plenty of time to speak to people, both ingame players and ccp employee's. I can put over a good argument to help convince people something is a silly idea. I want to hear from the CSM's why should we vote for you? Here on this post not in Comms.
Last years CSM's need not post. We wont be voting for you Just because I don't need to doesn't mean I won't. Since you clearly are not a fan, I won't try to sell myself to you, but I will try another angle. Clearly, you feel that the CSM is something that people should participate in, otherwise you wouldn't be seeking someone to throw your support behind. Despite whatever differences of opinion the wh candidates have, we've all agreed that what's most important is that we support each other. My top 5 candidates on my ballot will be the 5 wormholers, because those are the only ones who are going to understand my playstyle. You lose nothing by listing extra candidates, so unless you hate me so passionately that you have a list of 9 nullsec/lowsec/indy/dev candidates you'd rather see on the CSM than a wormholer, it will still be in your best interest to list all of them. What is your opinion on the delayed k162 change that was proposed Post #6 in the thread bro: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4378682#post4378682I even talked starconquer into admitting It was a fairly reasonable response.
I've gotta agree, your compromise to the change is one of the more thought out ones. If it has to change somehow, I could get behind this idea more-so than others.

I'll be throwing my support behind the more "seasoned" if you will pilots. Guys that know what the real issues are in wormhole space. Pilots that have been around for a while to see it first hand. I myself have been playing in wormholes since I started playing. In fact it's one of the reasons why I keep playing. The wormhole community is small and most of us know each other. Our CSM's that represent us should have a clear understanding of that, not just what they heard or read about. I listened to the dtp podcast and it was clear to me who really understood and who didn't. |

The way I see it, you can vote anyone in- doesn't matter- they won't have an impact on what gets developed in the game anyway. Yes they might be able to have their opinions expressed (like anyone can on the suggestions and ideas forum)- but it wont make a spit of difference to the ACTUAL REAL GAME DEVELOPERS.
I don't get the dislike for the current CSMs... they are only doing what they are expected to do. Talk a lot with CCP and then... ?
People don't understand what the CMS role entails. They can't click their fingers and get your personal ideas into the game.
We are one of the smallest communities in game and therefore probably the lowest priority.
We'd be better off organising who to vote for all together as 1 wormhole community and pick someone who's not going to promise that they can make any significant changes- IT WONT HAPPEN. |

The CSM are essentially unpaid consultants. They consult on the ideas that CCP puts forward to them and then CCP takes those opinions into consideration. The CSM are also invited to give an opinion oon new ideas to develop the game further in balance and fair way (though CCP never listens) I understand their Role just fine. If i had the choice for the new CSM id take Proc and Corbexx. Proc has some good spunk to him and some drive and ambition and corbexx seems to talk to everyone all the time and would be good for gathering all the iinformation needed to do his job. between the two of them I think they might actually be able to push CCP to help us out "Wormhole corps are like a bunch of homeschooled kids" |

You hit the nail on the head right there. CCP never listens. Therefore it's an empty role generally speaking.
To be honest, in a way, I'm glad. There are so many awful ideas that people come up with. |
