Hi everyone,
What would be the best between RR dominix and RR tengus to do combat AND data/relic sites in a C4 WH considering we are a small group of 4 ppl?
Also, what would be the pros and cons?
Actually we were considering RR tengus but I just saw that we could get more DPS and EHP with dominix. Should we focus on getting domi instead?
Some C4 RR domi build would be appreciated too if possible
Thank you |

This is a domi fit I've used (in conjuction with 4 identical fit domis) to run C5s. Make sure you have a single rapier with you (or web loki but rapiers are much better) to web and paint the **** out of things and use him as a trigger.
It's been a while since I've done domi fleets in wormholes but I know they have no problem running even if they're getting neuted.
Inb4 too tanky/hate on fit. It's a random one I had saved that I remember worked. |

RR domis- Better DPS, Lower cost. no SP loss on death. More mass thru the WH when farming a static. less GTFO capability than tengus. Although 4 RR Domis are a formidable gank target.
Tengus- smaller, more agile. less DPS. Less mass through the WH |

The main issue you'll get with RR Tengu's is that you have to move around a lot. The Frontier Barracks has spawns out to over 100km. Keeping the pack together, while theoretically easy, sometimes ends up in people who aren't paying as much attention as they should be dropping out of RR range.
Long range sentry Domi's don't have that issue.
You also don't tend to care if you drop a Domi for whatever reason as it's worth like a couple of Sleeper sites compared to the Tengu's. They can also go crash a WH in a pinch for you. Just keep a MWD and a couple of heavy unstable neuts in the cargo to swap out into. Most people won't go pick a fight with a pack of RR Domi's on a whim where as a pack of RR Tengu's feels a lot more engageable. |

RR domies work very good. (2drone links, large cap, 1 large 1 deadspace shield transfer....). I am currently experimenting with 3phoons + scimi. |

What do you mean?
Also, if we do go for the domi, should we go shield tanking domi or armor tanking? |

I prefer domis, they-Śre cheap and damn effective. I'm using three of these the most, they can take on everything but the x4 safeguard waves, but I have to be on the ball to start repping quickly since the alpha from the missiles can chunk of half of the armor if there's three battleships around. Four of these should work wonders if you slap on a 1600mm plate instead of a DDA. The sensor boosters are there for making sure that you can target out to max drone range and to speed things up (since things will die quickly, you have to target quickly new ones quickly). The MJD is there for gtfo moments. But there are alternatives. - Armaggeddon: Sacrifices the drone tracking/speed bonus and a midslot for a highslot and a higher armor buffer. More tonky. - Rattlesnake: Sacrifices the drone tracking/speed bonus, but gains a formidable tank, a 3rd DDA and room for a signal amp (2 more targets) |

Nice build, thank you for sharing it. But why 3 domi cant take the 4x safeguard wave? They will one shot the sentries so you don't have time to repair them?
If it's the case, how can you take out that wave? |

EDIT: Isn't your build a bit too overtank (85k+ EHP)? You need taht much?
http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/item.php?type_id=30195 Watch the missile damage. 5.2k dmg per safeguard and they're syncronized so it's a major damage spike. 85k EHP is not all in armor either, which is where you want to soak this. Looking at it in EFT with perfect ship and leadership-skills, this adds up to 50k EHP in armor. A volley of these shaves off 40% of that. Add to this that the reaction time varies, people might not react until someone gets hit by the missiles, and might not be able to switch their repairers due to being in the middle of the cycle. It can be done, but it's bound to hit structure once in a while. An 1600mm armor plate on the other hand adds another 30k armor EHP, which makes it more about keeping up with the damage. But if you got the money to invest, three rattlesnakes can handle the hardest C4s with ease. This is a setup I've used. You might shudder of the thought of using A-type deadspace modules, but these only sells for around 35m so they're worth their cost many times over.

With perfect skills: Total EHP: 147k (94k in shields with an average resistance modifier of 5.363) Tank: 1129DPS for each Rattlesnake after the second (since you can't target yourself) Drone DPS: 751 with Gardes, 657 with Bouncers. Targeting range: 134k (unfortunately, the drone range only 99km) Scan res: 158mm Max targets: 9 (which can be very handy with cap buddies, rep targets and a gazillion sleeper frigates with that scan res) Capacitor: Stable (so you might want to swtich a egress rig for something else, like closing that small kinetic hole)
Note: With using a spider setup, the remote rep/cap keeps the sleepers on the ships instead of the drones. Can't prove this, but this is my experience. |

I must say that this Rattlesnake build is awesome but it cost 600M + wich is a bit too expensive for us right now.
Do you think the 4 safeguards spawn is more likely to attack sentries or the domi in general? |

3 to 4 shield domis can run all of the c4 sites. 4 of them can run core garrison sites in c5 space. And the benefit to the shield setup is of course that the reps hit at the beginning of the cycles as opposed to the end as with armor reps. They'll also put less mass on the hole overall without the plate (s).
The sleepers will also probably stick on the domis instead of the sentries because of the RR in use. Even more so if there are target painters in play. Clone mechanics enchancements Deep Space Probe Revival |

I see, thanks for clarifying this.
Although, all fit I saw so far was armor tanking cause many med slot are filled with omni tracking link modules for some tracking speed bonus.
Would it be too much to ask for a good RR shield domi fit please? |

Why even care about the 4 safeguard wave? It is only one data and one relic site that has them. And the C4 data/relic sites are barely worth running to begin with (they are too annoying to bother IMO). I can almost always find plenty of other anoms etc to run in a C4 static before even considering the data/relics.
