The RMR data can be downloaded, but does not import cleanly into Access or SQL/Server (looks like a mySQL script).
I have spent some time loading a few tables, but assume someone else *must* have done this already.
So, anyone know if it can be downloaded anywhere?
Access DB or SQL-Server/MSDE backups would be great.

does import cleanly the only problem i found with it was char(1000) wasn't like and needed to be changed to just text for feild values aside from that it will work as standard mysql import script

Yeah, it looks like a mySql script. I was hoping someone had an access or SQL/Server version....

Its actually already MS-SQL format. It is not MySql. I'm not sure why your MSDE is having problems.
If you are having problems, I'd recommend you change "UNKNOWN" to "INT" and where "CHAR(xyz)" is greater than 255 you change it to "TEXT" and try again.

A bunch of INSERT statements with ",," and ",)" which is, I think, a mySQL-ism, and not valid according to quesry analyzer.

So anyone wants to tell me where I can find this data.
I want to experiment with it a bit too.
Thanks.

I had no problem loading any of this data into MS SQL Server 2005. Unfortunately, I don't have the databases anymore, but it shouldn't be hard to do.

Thanks for the help, I'll look into it again (using 2000, but can try 2005). Seems silly everyone has to go throught this process, lazyness aside.

Edited by: Deakin Frost on 06/05/2006 18:41:01 You have to fix the SQL dumps. Replace the semicolons with ENTER + "GO" + ENTER. Otherwise SQL Server tries to parse it as a single statement and complains about a lack of memory.
--edit: This was with SQL Server 2005 x64.

Did you do all the tables? eg. including the ones that have numbers formatted with "." as digit sep and "," as decimal? If so, is that your native format?
Or did you use the SQL scripts? If so, did 2005 accept the scripts with ",," and ",)" instead of NULL values?

Very nice, but is the data available in a more useful format?
